I have badgering my usual sources and have come up with NOTHING - other than they were planning on a new Dwarf Team, and new Chaos Team and a few Star Players but all of this seems to have dropped by the wayside.......

does anyone else have any news at all on future releases for BloodBowl?

There was some rumour about re-releasing the main box with the new rulebook, but no idea if this means more updated content...

Have fun,

Rolf.

There was a new Human team released a few months ago. I suppose it's possible that that could be the first step in a total revamp.

The new version (5th edition) of the rules is now up on the SG site, these are the rules that will be used for the next boxed game if and when it gets done

I think that was the plan before the shrinking of Specialist Games. There are also new Elves, but other than that the minis are all more like 4th edition Warhammer. :(

Have fun,

Rolf.

Suppose I will just have to use new plastic kits to make my own new teams.

I heard new dwarfs (the guy did mention all races being redone into the new £30, 16 player style) at least.

But i think SG stuff can only be worked on when the sculpter has no core stuff to do, so it's done as and when.

I would be suprised to see the boxed game back what with the rules available as free download. It would be nice to see minis out but I think GW will concentrate on their other projects.

Like thier other specialist games i think if they did make new models it will be over a very long period of time, wherin we all grow up and have to work alot and have less time to play our farvourite games

Feel free to join me in pestering forge world for them to do some. Doesn't seem to be working though. Perhaps more beer is the cheese!

Unless GW suddenly introduces 40k-Bowl or a Space Marine team to BB, FW will never do any.

Yeah, I did that. Because the current Dark Elves team is some kind of old and pretty ugly, I converted some old 40k Dark Eldar, and they look good to me. If you wanna see some pics let me know. Good thing about conversions is that you give them the pose (is that correct english?) you want to have.

I think most of the teams can be build by conversions: Chaos, orcs, undead may be a pretty easy thing to do.

I don't understand many BB players moaning about the old minis and buying them instead of doing them on their own. I'm no conversion expert, and I did my DE team even without green stuff and in a rush for a tournament, I think most people can do that. And... you get a unique team.

Post a pic here, yes why not. I did like the orc conversion cheerleader that I saw somewhere.

Okay, let me note

1. I did them in a couple of hours with any Dark Eldar rests I had in my Bitz Box, so they are not perfect. I know, the helmets and the shoulder pads need more work with Green Stuff, when I' ll have the time (still got to finish my WE). But the first games they worked out well

2. the photos are a bit messy due a lack of talent and a good camera ;)

But I hope, you get impressions how easy it is to build your team with a plastic set ( in my case even some 40k rubbish I would never had used). You have individual players you can identify without searching for the players number.
I think in future I will build a DE team again with the bitz I choose and order to get exactly the minis I want to have.

BTW, the orc is a 40k one, I just cut away the gun. Simple and fast...

I wonder why there are only a few people I know who convert their BB minis, most specialist teams are really, really ugly...

Now I want to see some of yours (but that may be the wrong thread for that)...

Thx... as I said, it was quite easy...

I heard that rumour too that a new dwarf team will come in 2007, and that they will make one team a year. This is unconfirmed, I read it somewhere here in warseer, but I don't find the right thread.

I think that was the plan before the shrinking of Specialist Games.

What does that mean? SG was not that big... So are we in danger of losing the last support for the "smaller" game systems?

The only shame is for me is that it seems they are using specialist games to let the new sculpters cut their teeth on. Well it is if the redemptionists where anything to go on, those where truly awful.

I'm hoping if new teams are made they are done well, Dark Elves, Orcs and Chaos need a definate rethink, especially at the redirection to how they should have always been thanks to the Elves and Human re-releases. (Never cared for the idea to bring Bloodbowl into the Warhammer timeline, should have stayed in a sort of semi futuristic ambiguity.)

He's nice, but it's the same as the new Griff Oberwald...why would I get one when I already have the old version, which I have never used?

Agreed. They should put out some stuff that either hasnt been made, or is currently oop.

Still, its nice that they are putting something out.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they worried about stuff like the new Slaan for starters, although to be fair, the green of this particular guy is pretty old. :P By like.. at least 2 years. So, I say it's about gee dee time he's become available! Kinda wish they'd brought this guy out a WEEK AGO though... *grumble* 10.50 for shipping on the Griff figure I picked up kinda stank.

**** I just want a Dark Elf Runner model to fit in with my old lead team. The thrower model just takes the place of the first lineman to learn pass.

yes, nice but rather useless. However, let me see, there is an ENTIRE team that doesnt have models....oh right the slann (sure they are not entirely official, but the other two teams can be made up of pre-existing models).

There were great rumours of a new box set for the 25th birthday of BB, but I guess, that didnt materialise.

Oh well. I would love to know what the Games Development office of GW is thinking about BB in particular. Have they now decided to let the game run its course and let players and the BB committee take care of themselves, or will they one day support the game again.

Well it would be kind've silly to put the game out again, with the new rules and everything only to have them slightly invalidated a year later. If anything, I think they're waiting for LRB 6.0 to come out (Since apparently this is going to be the final version for a while).

I couldn't tell you for certain, but either way, the ONLY thing I care about from GW that I don't already have is the little tidbit of Blood Bowl stuff (of which I have basically everything I do in fact want already) besides the apparent new Zug pictured above and the updated Griff figure which I already purchased. :p

The former, almost certainly. Actions speak louder than words, after all. It's a shame, because Zug there is very nicely sculpted. Oh well, if I make a Direct order in the near future, I might include him.

They have never had Slann BB minis...Ever! I have a Slann team converted from old (3rd ed fantasy) minis.
