Between my friends and I, we have a general consensus that the CoD rules are better overall than the main rulebook, if only for the Stratagems. We also occasionally mix in an activation-based ways about the game, just to prevent first turn victories.

In short: Yerr.

I would.:D

However, I'm up for just about any opportunity to game, so take it as you will.

I love cities of death when there isn't retarded amounts of barricades. Try the battle for vogen campaign.

I have. The league I was in was all about CoD. The tournament was CoD. CoD rules.

I think CoD rules or a basic version of them should be appended to the 40K rule book vice and addition. I like how CoD deals with buildings and ruines much better then the rule book.

I ran a sudo tourny that was all CoD and everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

CoD rocks for me as i play thousand sons, so i am not phased by difficult terrain, because i'm in it permanently

It would be very hard since some people don't even live in the same country

That would be a great idea, but the main problem might be the amount of terrain needed for it.

So, where's the "Hell yes!" option? That would be AMAZING- AND get some different armies on the table.

Yeah, I would. Would make a refreshing change, and you would probably see some different armies.

I'm organising a CoD campaign with my gaming club, first round was last saturday, was a blast :D
Really nice to see all our hard work with buildings and gaming tables paying off.
I've got a friend who's supposed to take some pictures of it all, I can post them here later if anyone's interested.

Thanks for the feedback.
I was gonna run this in Ireland.
I'm putting one CoD table in a tourney I'm running in Sligo at the end of the month, currently making about 9 buildings out of cardboard for it.
I'd love to see pictures if you have them!

i'd love to
but seeing as how i don't have an army at the moment (but when i get more funds am gonna start from the ground up again -- thinking dark eldar, dark angels or tyranids) it's gonna be hard.

If I actually was at all interested in competative/semi-competative tournament play, then definatly.

I really enjoy the social aspect of tournements- getting to meet loads of new people with new armies. And it's one of the few things that motivate me into doing any painting or modelling...

I did...It sucked.

Why did it suck?
(So that I can avoid making the same mistakes)

I know I would!

I think that city fighting is one of the most appealing aspects of 40k. If someone had a lot of city terrain I would certainly be willing to take part in some battles with them (I'm working on making some city terrain, but it's going really slowly because I have no time).

i played a CoD tourny. it was for medusa V. so it was actually based around taking hive perseus.

it was fun because it was a different style of tourny. not the defacto 12" deplyment on both sides then one army shoots at the other untill one wins.

Well considering our indie store has run one CoD everymonth all summer basically I would say the answer would be yes.

I should develop my eariler comment, and say that I would like to play in a CoD based event, though not nessercery a tourenment, but more of a campgian style event.

I just don't understand where people get "rules" from CoD? Other than the strategems there are no real changes to the rules.

The old Cityfight book had actual changes which changed the nature of the game play.

I'd love to play, considering my army is specifically geared for City fight (Pure scouts, Move through cover for the win)

Yeah, CoD tourneys would be cool. It'd actually make me take something other than VC/BS for Heavy Carnifexes.

Played at the Carnage Social a couple weeks ago, that had a lot of CoD games, and it was brilliant fun. Just have to remember to hide in cover and let the enemy come to me, then charge at the last second. Works better than running out into the open in front of IG gunlines...

Had CoD as part of the Midnight Run event in August
it from all acounts went well
