I am not a fan of the current snotling pump wagon. For me the original pump wagon has more character, better looks and more how I think a pump wagon should be. The newer one might be easier to assemble, I dont know, the old one can be awkward.

So new versus old.

You was too quick get your vote in. One or the other. Black or white. No shades of grey in this one. Highlander rules apply.

What the hell is up with the second part of the two main options?

Anyway. I prefer the latest model. It's more well-designed. The old one is just plain, and in an unappealing way to boot.

A snotling pump wagon shouldn't be well-designed. That's the main problem with it.

Meh. It looks better! :p Like it could actually ram something. It's more functional. And orcier. So there. ;)

The old one is more charming, but less scary.

The new one is too scary and less charming.

For my 2-for-1 slot, I will build the second one myself. Having the modelling skills of a snotling suddenly becomes advantageous.

Btw, the Snotling movement rule in 7th ed. army book is called...

Oi! Pedal faster.

which also explains the model development from pump action to pedal action

Meh, no-one had voted for the third option, and I just got a new camera, so.................

Ta-da!!!!!!!! It was made from sprue pieces, cardboard, a few weapon tips, a few shields and of course some snotlings. Its also unfortunately the size of a chariot. I didn't realize they were 50mm.

And what better to finish off a bodgy modelling job than a really crappy paint job hey? :p

I actually quite like that, the shields for wheels is a good idea and would make it bobble as it rolled forward.

I much prefer the old snotling pump wagon. I am not a big fan of the latest type. I think the latest one lacks a lot of character, that the older one had. I also love the look of the snotlings that crewed the older version.

Ive actually just dug out my old two tier pump wagon and was intending on using it for a laugh.

The only problem is its rather badly painted from years before. how can i remove the old paint without scraping it off? Its GW paint.

If you go over to the Painting,Modelling and Terrain Discussion part on Warseer, there is a whole little section, that gives advice on how to strip paint off older models. I hope that helps.

Well I only own the 6ed version, but model wise I like the 5ed version of it more.

I think the old pump wagon has been around since 3rd edition warhammer

The old one by far. Those mince-rollers had character. The new one looks like some sort of 3 wheeler from hell, as much as this inspired my plans for the Only Fools 'n' Horses pumpwagon (WIP) no new one can EVER beat the old one.

I did vote the old pump wagon as it is characterful and fits more with my picture of how it should look. It is a pain to build and glue together and often it is in bits by the time I get to play the game due to transportation.....I still love it though!

The old one. It brings me back to a time when warhammer was also about humour/fun in the models and drawings.

What base size are pumpwagons?
btw the old one rules! :D

6th Edition, Pump wagons are 50mm bases.

I prefer the new one: I don't like the use of mechanics in the original.

I stratchbuilt my own based on the new one (no pics yet though), the wheels go round and everything.

The wheels are the main problem when it comes to this project as they are bigger than chariot wheels.

50 x 50 is the base size.

The original is very fiddly to assemble, it can be a pain but it is still the best. Just finished rebuilding one after an accident.

I prefer the old one. Also, sound effects are mandatory when moving them (squeeky movement sounds) and I still yell out "Oi Pedal Fasta!" when adding a di to its movement

I like them both, actually I LOVE them both!!!

I also bought a Dwarf Gyrocopter and converted it - so it's a pump wagon with Flappa upgrade
