In the rulebook, it says to roll a dice to restrain your victorious troops. Then roll a dice for fleeing. Then roll a dice for persuit if you so desire. It says that if the persuers roll higher, the permanently scatter/destroy the unit. It then says if the fleeing troops roll higher, they move x" and the persuers move however far they rolled.

So, do the persuers move their 2d6" after they roll higher than the flee'ers (and destroy them) or do they stay put?

SRB (small red book), page 43, second paragraph:

"Pursuers always move their full pursuit distance unless their pursuit takes them into contact with enemy (...), friendly units or impassable terrain".
