WOW! Great freehand. If the rest look as good as this then that'll be one fine looking unit. No pun intended.

hi
working on my third chosen chaos knight with mark of nurgle

don't know what free hand i can do on a nurgle horse.
so i decided to just paint it like rotting green metal color instead.

I only have two things to say

1.That khorn horse looks...*********NG Terrific!

2.For nurgle try some rotting people if you can do that...

you could try the three circles, the nurgle symbol, with faces in them in similar way as you did with the Khorne-icon, or you could drill small holes and use some green stuff to have something dripping out of them

sounds pretty cool, i might try that if i have some time left, anyone have any cool ideas for my tzeentch and slaanesh knights? i got roughly 9 days to go.

i wanted to try some naked girls on slaanesh knights and blue waves for tzeentch.. but any other cool ideas are welcome.

Alot of sweeping faces on the tzeentch one or just part of faces, like eyes, screaming or smiling mouths, noses?
Get the inspiration about reading how their god looks like and har his body overflowing with constantly changing faces.
Would be nice to have a bird head on the horse too :D

your painting style is very good, although the nurgle guy seems to be too clean in my opinion, and no nurgle icons on him aswell, maybe add some rust and pocks, just my thougts

Very nice and not so OTT nurgel, it´s very nice and has a grim effect on it. Much better than alot of nurgel I´ve seen. The base looks great as well keep it up ;)

Perhaps you could apply some flame motifs to the tzeentch knight.

I drew a tzeentch warrior a few days ago, not sure how helpful it is but with your linework it might work:

just look at some artwork from Ian Miller, really veird stuff that gives you that "real" tzeentch feeling about it.
You can get tons of ideas from him, but as i mentinoned before, alot of sweeping tormented faces and parts of faces like eyes and screaming mouths should feel verry tzeentchian.

I dont know if I'd go as far as saying its some of the best freehand I have ever seen since that guy yellowone on CMON has some mean miniatures/tanks. These are however, very beautiful, I still think decaying zombified screaming faces would have fit perfectly on the nurgle knight but meh, it still looks amazing.

brilliant! and such a fast rate of painting too!

I would echo MFV and say go for some kind of faces on the Nurgle bloke too...

with all the freehand on the others he looks too 'plain'....

Mate if your entered in golden demon then you have to bring those into St. Lukes tommorow.

That looks quite good. As you were presenting these one by one, I was thinking to myself, "Nah, that'll never work..." But it does. Well done. Just another good idea from Warseer I'll find a use for one day.

Awesome work tensions...but one thing i should point out (IMO)...i think the tzzentch should be the stadard and slaanesh as musician. I see youre trying to make them all in their own way...characters correct?

ie. Khorne - axe was very approapriate
Nurgle - Horse with boned armour

I often associated slaanesh with pleasure and noise...so musician maybe?
And Tzeentch as sorcery and proclamation of power - so standard bearer? maybe painted up all 'magicy'.

Again just my opinion to make them fitting as having their own slight back stories...

07-10-2006, 13:07
Slaanesh = excess which can take many forms including vanity, therefore the standard is fitting being bore by a slaaneshi champion.

I'd just like to say that these look awesome, but that you really don't wanna put a Tzeentchian and a Khornate next to each other... They can't stand each other :p

Same goes for Slaaneshi and Khornate of course...

@unwanted: TZ and KH get together better than KH and SL, they are not Ancient Enemies (or anti-powers).

@tensions: I love them, great looking painting. You should be very proud, that is propably the best looking chaos knight unit I have ever seen.

The scroll-work is amazing, as is the rest of the painting. Really like the concept of the unit, kind of reminds me of the "Chosen of Abaddon" section in the chaos codex.

I'd just like to say that these look awesome, but that you really don't wanna put a Tzeentchian and a Khornate next to each other... They can't stand each other :p

Lies :) Khorne has some serious issues with magic as a weapon (note, since his powers are of the same effective stuff as magic, he isn't totally anti-magic) and Tzeentch has an issue with blunt martial strength, but at the end of the day, they don't dislike each other any more than say Slaanesh and Nurgle do.

I like all of them except the Nurgle one. As a Nurgkle fan though, I really think that should be done the best, and let the others rot :p Fantastic work on the Tzeentch and Khorne models in particular, the colours contrast strikingly well. Good to see brightness in the Tzeentch model.

hi
thanks for the kind complements everyone..:)

this unit is archaon's old warband, the sword of chaos. Only the strongest have prevailed in his long quest from a chaos warrior to the lord of the end time. this unit of chosen is specially selected by archaon himself ,the strongest chosen from each mark of chaos.

they already put aside their "Ancient hatre" from each other gods and join together to form this most powerful unit of chosen of gods that everyone will fear on the battlefield.

this unit combine with archaon himself will be the centre of my 10k chaos mortal army....
well this is my ideal unit of chosen. you might like it, you might not.

In spite of their differences they all obviously share a love for vibrant haberdashery.

I suppose that those facing your knights and getting a flank ripped open or seeing their centre collapsing due to them will foremost be happy that their excellent painting lives up on tabletop. :)
