So I bought the Lord of Khorne model, the 6th ed one on the 3-wound daemonic mount, and it came on a 40mm base. I also have the Lord of Nurgle model, on the 3-wound daemonic mount, and it has a 50mm base. I suspect the 50mm is an introduction to 6th ed (I am from 2nd ed), and some of the older models (which are identical except for the base size) are just still floating around?

Is there a way to determine for sure what base size they are supposed to have?

Aha, just go to the games workshop site and look at the parts list for each model is one way i guess. Still sort of curious if it's based on number of wounds or purely arbitrary?

IF, the stats for whatever say it is a large object, it should be on a 50mm square base.

Last year, the GW, UK site had a chart for unit and base sizes. I am sorry but I don't know/remember where it was located on the UK site..

I'm fairly sure all chaos lords on a deamonic mount are mounted on a 40 mm base.

Oops guess I should have measured them instead of just guessing the size :P
