Cello.

Just wondering, if a chariot is unlucky enough to charge a strength 7 Character for example, and the Character inflicts 3 hits and then 2 wounds. Now the Chariot is destroyed anyway, but if he is still in combat with let's say the Chariot's rider, (another Character), in the following Combat resoltuion phase, does the Strength 7 Character score 1 (for destroying the chariot) or 2 wounds (for actually inflicting 2 wounds even though I would have thought the second is wasted) for destoying the Chariot?

Thanks in advance.

A chariot with 4 Wounds would be destroyed by the "first" hit and contribute +4 to CR. The "second" hit would not add further to CR since since excess wounds are discounted.

In a challenge you would get +5, the excess wound is also counted.

Erhm...no. In a challenge the character steps down from the chariot and AFAIK you can´t even hit it.

That would be correct in 6th edition, but we play 7th edition now.
