just painted a unit of 20 skelletons and a unit chariots, so I wanned to use them
at the next tournament.
and I came up with this list:

tomb prince gw la 104

lich priest 140
hieratic jar

lich priest 115

19 skeletons la sh 181
( prince goes here)

15 skeletons bow 130
( you need something vs skirmsihers/fast caf)
now they can reform to a unit with 2 ranks and a banner, should be enough to ahold a charge for atleast 1 turn.

2x3 chariots 240
my flankers, shouldn't be to hard to leap them in some flanks with my magic.

1 SSC 90
( you simply need one, otherwize you have the risk that you need to walk to the enemy, had no points for the upgrade).

that's it, I would like to incluede a scorpion but the points didn't let me.

Quite a sound list, only one large block though.
You'd have trouble against empire who's handguns (S4 -2sv) will decimate you fragile chariots before moving in with superior numbers to finish off the large block.

You shouln't leave home without a scorpion. That is all i'm going to say.

I think you are right about that, same issue that I fought about.
the problem is that I simply don't know what to get rid of for a scorpion :cries:

i agree, that gives u a few free pts.
dropping the 2nd preist for a scorp or 2 couldnt hirt either alhtough thats stupid to drop the 2nd preist LOL

i'd also say pop up the archers to another block of 20. that should deal with any guys in 1000pts

Another good reason fo losing chariot command is they are easy VP's

I'd be more inclined to 2 units of 10 archers, its easy to get most of them shooting. And you have a bodyguard for each priest.
But i guess it can double as a combat unit if you wanted whereas 2 units could work as flankers.

I totally don't like dropping the second priest.
it would be handfull to boost the archers to 20 and with a banenr but I am already short on points.
or should I make them 15 and give em a banner ( only 1 rank less)

and my chariots don't have command ( where did I say they have?)
tomb kings are just really pricy :(

Erm, yes. What is this obsession TK players seem to have with the Hieratic Jar? Really, an extra incantation ain;t going to be doing you much considering you're paying 25 points for a one use item. With Dispel Scrolls its understandable, but an extra incantation? I wouldn't be so naive as to place my entire battleplan on an extra chant. Drop the jar and give him the cloak of dunes/leave him bare.

You seem to have forgotten that your 6 chariots also have the ability to fire while going about their business. Surely this warrants being able to instantly lose 6 of your Skeleton bowmen, or use the 25 points you could save from losing the jar and get a unit of 20 and split it into 2 units of 10 defending the Hierophant.

What is the actual total points cost of the army?

@ volitair the heiratic jar is a great item cous it is able to give me an extra magic charge when I need it the most.
sure the enemy will have dispellscrolls but he will have a hard time to stop 4 invocations in 1 turn, even with all his scrolls.

Yes, but you really need to think about why you are relying so much on one single extra roll to win the game for you. Surely if you had an effective battleplan you would have a bit less of a predictable back up plan than the Hieratic Jar.

I'm not rallying on the hieratic jar, but for just 25 points it is a damn good adition.
I'm not gonna place my chariots 2" infront of the enemy and hope my magic works ;)

You could get more without the Hieratic Jar. Extra archers are a much better choice.

I don't think 3 archers will beat a charge on an important unit.
and if my archer unit starts loosing some I can sumon more back than 3 archers with the jar.
and if not I can make them shoto 1 mroe time doing much more dmg than 3 extra archers

keep the jar, imo. it is a useful thing.
