I'm not sure if this has already been discussed, but it's shocked me. http://www.ainsty.co.uk/

Apparently the founder of Ainsty has passed away not much more than a couple months ago. Also, Old Crow Models has picked up the Ainsty line.

Just thought I'd share this information.

-peace out

The firm was advertised for sale a few months ago and Old Crow seems to have bought him out. Ainsty was on offer for 18,000 if I remember correctly. Don't know how much it finally went for though.

Of note, there are a number of UK based 'garden shed' firms that are for sale at the momemt such as Baker Company and Iron Mammoth.

The owner of Ainsty did not 'pass away'.
Mike Brooks died a few months back.:( It's even linked to in the first post. See the Ainsty (http://www.ainsty.co.uk/) and Old Crow (http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/crownews.htm) websites. Thoroughly nice guy in my dealings with him. Also a great line of resin products especially the invisible clear resin predators.

Crikey! I was chatting with him over the summer when Ainsty was up for sale as I was contemplating buying his business. He was a very nice and approachable guy with an infectiously positive attitude towards our great hobby.
