So on the Speaclist site, on the article "Unknown Warriors" or DIY Gangs, I was wonder if A) their "balanced" and wrothe while? and B) GW legel?

GW legal - nobody can give you a definitive answer for this, as it varies from place to place, tournie to tournie etc, etc... Sorry
Never seen the Unknown Warriors before though

It looks ok, but hey, I don't know... Main thing is just that you don't make a :cheese: army or something, but do something that actually has some real background to, not something like what I saw on the GW forums: Harle-Killers - Marines made by the Emperor long ago to combat the new threat of the Eldar Harlequins. They were Immune to Rending and the like  Stupid really - you've got Grey Knights, which were better as well :wtf:
Anwy, they look balanced to me, but everything like that is open to some abuse. Just as long as nobody finds it, we're ok...

They are House Rules but because they are mainly about background rather than an all-conquering bolter armed gang I think they are fine. I'm gonna be allowing them in the next campaign I run. I like the idea of new houses with a bit of interesting background.

The rules are a bit like making a DIY marine chapter just in a different games so you have guidelines on what you can and can't do also if you don't like any of the gangs its perfect to create your own
