Ok, I'm still fairly new to BFG but I recently scored a couple fleets cheap off of ebay. I've read through the tactics articles on this forum and came up with the following 1,000 pt. Fleet.

2 - Torture Cruiser w/ Launch Bays
250 pts. each

4 - Corsair Class Escorts w/ Impaler Assault Modules
200 pts.

4 - Corsair Class Escorts
2 x/ Phantom Lances
2 w/ Weapons Batteries
200 pts.

Dread Archon for one of the Cruisers
100 pts.

What do you think?

Where are all you die hard DE Archons?

I'd try to include at least a couple Corsairs with torpedoes, but that's just theory as I've never gotten around to making/using DE myself.

The Tortures have your nasty weapon battery supply pretty well set, why not exchange the WB Corsairs for Torpedoes? Rerollable hard to hit torpedoes are nice, but leach torpedoes could come in handy too, slowing down enemy ships, making it harder for them to react to your maneuvers, and keeping your Impalers in range.

I'm a bit wary about mixing ordinance and non-ord as it will mess with my special orders. Maybe I'll swap out two of the Impalers for torps and try that out.

Thanks for the suggestion.

You can also split them off, and have two groups of two.
