This is where you can get the rules as a free download for personal use (I used the Canada link for you).
For models you can either buy them directly off of GW or possibly as a special order through your local indie. Many of us just convert from other GW regiments and such or even from other companies.
Have fun and feel free to keep posting here for updates, info, feedback ect ect.

It really does seem like a lot of people are converting their gangs from scratch now. It's a great iea. It means you have a unique set of models in a game where every gang should look different.

Hope you find the downloads ok and good luck with Necromunda.

Well good lord, look at the cost of the officially made gangs. The price is over the top and only come with a few models so you inevitably have to buy more just to make a starter gang. Then again, you always have to convert to give them what you actually want them to have anyways. Why not use the much less expensive models and convert them to begin with. They end up looking just as nice.
Or it may be that I am just a dirt poor cheapskate. :D :p

I was broke when I started my current Necro gang. I grabbed a whole load of old Necro models from all sorts of Houses and filled the blanks with converted plastic Guard models and stuff from my Bits Box. I came up with a story explaining why there was a mixture of models and nobody has complained. I've even had some nice comments from people on how cool some of them look (thanks everybody!:D).

Converted models are the way forward! Cheap and unique!

Just to semi-hijack this thread. Are there still rules for Chaos Cultist gangs around? I seem to recall they were outlaws (obviously) with mutations and *I think* the chance to get a Chaos marine somewhere down the line. I was about to get into the game, after running Blood Bowl and Gorkamorka (similar, and damn was it fun) for a while, years ago but our club was shut down. Was thinking of picking it up again now I'm getting back into the hobby but was only ever interested in cultists, hard as they would be to play so I was told.

*edit* Noticed they aren't in Army builder, but then it seems to have rules for a few gangs anyway.

Just treat them as Redemptionists. That's what Dark Apostle 197 has been doing and seems to be finding it works ok.

Redemptionists sound like they would work great. They would just be zealous about a different god. Give them properly chaotic paint jobs of course.
Likewise, you could just use one of the other established gangs and have them be "undercover in normal times and only "wear thier colors" when actually out fighting. Much like our modern gangs of today.
Or, you could do as I plan on doing in this thread...

Use chaotic models and make your own gang using the downloadable suppliment on the specialist site or use an established gang to represent them. Chaos is so varied that each of the reguler gangs can be used to represent a gang who favors a particuler lifestyle/fighting style.
Let us know what you end up doing or if need be, start your own thread with your ideas and we can discuss it with you or feel free to post about it in the thread I just mentioned as it is along the same lines of what I am doing.
