This is a log for my converted Tau Army
the paint jobs are sucky in some cases but I am focusing on the conversions. I have altered some pictures to enhance contrast for easier viewing.

This is my Tau gunship,

Ion is magnetically mounted underneath.

Credit to GreyDeath for inspiration on the gunship.

This is my only Crisis suit that I plan on completing without a real waist.

This is showing that the weapons mix is flexible, as its magnetically mounted, The missle pod is as well.

This is my default commander at the moment.
The Fusion, Plasma, and Drone shield are all magnetically mounted.

thats some nice stuff there mate, the underslung ion cannon completely changes the dynamic of the gunship (but you'll HAVE to find another name that hammerhead for it) perhaps a jellyfish name where the sting is underneath ;)

nice colour shceme too - keep em' coming :)

I love the Gunship, it doesn't look like a Hammerhead, but it is still identifiable as being a Tau gunship. Nice work with the Battlesuits too, they look very nicely posed.

This is a modification on my crisis suit, with using spare parts to make a broadside,
I think it needs a little work but overall it feels solid,
Opinions please.

As you can see he can stop being a broadside on demand :-)

I've been looking for interesting broadside conversions and these are both quite nice. I like the built-up legs on the first broadside, and I really like how you repped the SMS on the back of the suit. Think I'll be borrowing at least that little detail for meself :D

Very interesting work, keep it up!

Well when I saw this piece I was like WOW,

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i174/lostripper/Tau%20Conversions/urban_suit.jpg
and I said "I know I have one of those land raider pieces around here somewhere"
So I hunted and hunted, to no avail,

Then when I was rooting around months later,
I found it, Last night even, So Out came the saw, clippers, dremel, and the chainsaw.
Well maybe not the chainsaw...... This Time :-)

And I started working on this

I know its rough, and the image sucks a bit, but...
More to come :-)

Great conversion, but is it flying? If it's got railguns, it has to walk everywhere. Can't wait to see what you do with these LR bits!

This is a group shot of some of my conversions,
The humans on the lower right are my version of pathfinders, for 3 reasons,
1: Im cheap
2: I had them,
3: Humans should better gear then lasguns

This is my newest commander, or just lone guy,
I know he looks like he has a broken ankle or something,
Its just the angle,

The color scheme has real potential which the basing will make or break. If you go with gray cityfight then the scheme will be unbalanced and bland. Try to go with brown bases and flock - the brown and green will contrast the black, gray and teal. I mention this because the basing so far look like a cityfight theme. You could easily paint the industrial bits to be part of an overgrown jungle. Adding aquarium plant bits will also spice up the army a huge amount, and I think it would look great!

Well actually what I was thinking of was a grey city, but with patches of snow,
I thought the armys scheme would look very nice with patches of white snow over a destroyed city.
I am doing a brown on the cloth parts of the FW uniforms,
Hmmm,

Any thoughts on this, now I am a little unsure

Brilliant conversions Lost Ripper, escpecially the Broadside. You've got a very dynamic looking army in the making and I really like the nice touches like the diving Piranha and Human Pathafinders. :)

Little Bitty bug that I had made and felt that it was lacking, then I saw Taels and I was like, Damn, now I know how to finish him.
