Since it seems I keep getting distracted by various projects, I thought I'd stick them all under one heading as a 'get all this crap painted' log.

Here are a couple of my favorite most recent models:

I like the Salamanders. The flames on the leg armour look awsome. Will you continue that theme or vary the position of the flames?

Great looking models!

Thanks a bunch, guys :) Encouragement is always appreciated.

DigitsDavid - The Salamanders were really just a couple of for-fun miniatures - I like them alot, but I'm all marine'ed out at the moment. My current project (although it's likely to change) is an Eldar combat-patrol force.

Here's my latest creation - I like it alot more than the Biel Tan ranger. Obviously, I need to base him and tidy up the bodysuit on the arms and the pipes going all over the place - but so far I like him!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v493/wayerst/miniatures/ranger2_1.jpg

How do I do the muddy trench-ground effect I see on alot of Krieg models? The one above was pva/paint/static grass/flock all mixed up but it came out rather flat and one dimensional...

The Plasmarifle on the Crisis suit looks great. Can we see a close up of it from another angle please?

Oh, and please remove the mould line from the Ranger's rifle, it looks fantastic apart from that.

Here's a little guy I knocked up last night - still WIP obviously. The dings and dents will be battle damage eventually, and I'm going with mid-grey for all the mechanical bits/vents/ribs:

you mate, are an awesome painter, excellent ideas and charismatic execution, if you want any pointers at all, water down you're paints a little bit.
the celtic? pattern is really well done, neat lines and brillant colour choices, the burst cannon leg extensions on the suit look briliant.

keep up this tremendous work :)

I love the yellows, it's the first time I've seen yellow actually look good on a model - at least, it's the first time I've seen clean yellow look good.

Thanks alot, schoolcormorant - I know I paint a bit thickly - You can see on the feet of the Wraithlord I tried thinning quite a bit - it's come off alot better than everywhere else. I must admit though, the Wraithlord is an overpaint rather than a strip-and-repaint - so that probably has something to do with it.

Aaah! His foot is on fire!

Of course it isn't, but it certainly looks that way. Good work, man.

Why does everyone say that?

BONE = thing in your arm
BONER = your willy

I haven't painted an ork in donkey's years - but here are some I did, when I did.

Bear in mind they're about 2 years old:

The lens on that Kan looks great! So bright and shiny looking! Excellent work!

I agree, that lens works really well.

The lens is fantastic!
And so are your colors and your style. Very good ideas with your colour combinations too. Only thing... I think that it would be better if you mixed different sizes of gravel for the bases! They look a bit too uniform this way, IMHO, but nothing serious only nitpicking!

I really like that Red (Grey) Knight. It's really nicely painted so far. It's also nice to see it in a colour that's not often used for that model.

Good stuff! :D

Nice Lamenter, and impressive painting speed in all cases. Keep up the speedy, great work!

That's one of my favourite black power-armoured models I've seen.

I don't really like the bags on the AoV's ankle though, they look as though they'd be in the way a lot, and the ones on the shoulder pad would be almost inaccesible :p

Nice painting in here, though.

That Red Hunter looks great. Red can be a difficult colour to get right. Nice work.
