View Full Version : Mousekiller's BIG WIP

02-03-2007, 19:16
This thread is going to be devoted to my bigger projects (hence the reason I have moved this monstrous Giant from my other WIP thread). Reason for it is to hopefully be able to display better, bigger pics for better, more constructive criticism. Thanks, MK

Ok, got the dwarf done (except I need to go back and do his toe nails and arms, oops) and started the wolf head.

Wow that is a very nice looking giant. All the colours certainly make him look very busy but I love it!

Can't wait to see more of it done.

And that my friends is the only time I ever saw the Dwarf Slayer from the BfSP box look any good.

You have made a great job of this so far Mousekiller, the only thing I am not sure about are the wolf heads, I think they make the model a bit too busy. The painting, and indeed photography (grumble, grumble) are as usual excellent!

I like it a lot! The idea of a giant saving his leftovers for later (lots of leftovers, obviously) is very funny. "Honey, I'm out for groceries. Do you want dwarf or halfling this evening?"

I'm watching this one!

Another piece of legging done. This guy just won't quit needing more done...

crazy ivan: thanks mate. Now all I need to do is paint him up an overweight giantess to finish the scene...

75hastings: I agree with you about the wolf head and the boar head in the front. Not only does it make it look busy, but they seem out of place because of there being a bit oversized compared to the other animals. Only bad part is it is too late to do anything about them without having to put in a lot of extra work to fix them. I think maybe a small dog (like the one from the bretonnian sprue) would have been better.

spikedog: Just think circus freak gone bad....

Wow he looks like a party that I'd like to be at :)

Ok, some more legging done. Starting to move up in the world...

Parka Boy: Only thing he seems to be missing are a couple of beer kegs... knew I forgot something...

I know, I know... almost 45 days since the last update. No excuses. Got a bit done on the wolf head and the boar head.

He's got quite a collection, nice job! Is he going to fight for your Gobbos?

12-06-2007, 15:44
Ok, started his left arm... also, if you haven't seen them, I have added some other monstrous mini links to the top of the thread.

Uberdrive: Not this one. Eventually, when I get around 2000 points painted, I will add a giant. Either that, or I may add one to my 500 point orc contingent...

Well haven't seen this thing yet, looks really good to me. Keep up the great work.

Simply Breathtaking!!!

Please... finish it as soon as possible!!! :)

Ok, so it has been a while since the last post (see a trend building here?)... actually, this guy is more of a side project so I expect progress to be slow. To top it off, I have been really busy with work lately (back to my 7 day weeks at 16 hours a day)...

Anyway, did a bit of work on the goat between his legs, the shield and wrappings on his right arm, and finished up the leggings (even did a nifty little sun design on one)...

Dino: Thanks mate.

Paulo: I will try, but he seems to be taking forever.

WOW Mousekiller, that has to be one of the best looking giants I have ever seen. I love the conversion work and the paint job is looking superb so far. Looking forward to seeing some more updates.

I've missed a Mousekiller thread, how on earth did that happen!

Great work as per usual my friend, I always enjoy your threads due to the excellent standard of painting & more importantly the fact that you go out of your way to give advice & help to others. :)

Haha what a wonderful giant! :D
