As most of you are probably all aware, Mythic Entertainment have taken on the reigns of the development of Warhammer Online (if you don't know, go to www.mythicentertainment.com or www.warhammeronline.com) for more information.

Mythic Entertainment (makers of Dark Age of Camelot) were also making an MMORPG at the same time by the name of Imperator, but it seems like they have post poned the development of Imperator in order to concentrate on Warhammer Online (which has a vague release date of 2007). Whilst this in my opinion is good news (I thought that developing 2 MMORPGS as well as running 1 at the same time would lead to shoddy work), my question is, is it enough?

The reason I ask is that I was really, really looking foward to WOL before the news of its apparant cancellation. After my initial dissapointment, I understandably lost all interest for the project and even the news of it being continued now has done little to excite me again. I'm sure I can't be the only one who feels this way. Perhaps if they start posting some screenshots and get a forums up on their site i'll change my views but i'm not sure.

What are your opinions of this?

Sheesh they've only been working on it for like a month. Give them some time.

I thought WOL looked amazing and actually imaginative, but the development blunders may still be its undoing. The Imperator media released was pretty shoddy.

You're quite correct, I was under the assumption that they were continuing the project, in fact they're actually starting from scratch which is a shame (whilst the game play I hear needed vast improvement, visually the game was very attractive). I just hope the new vision for the game is as good.
