One with two Rhinos and one with a Land Raider. Looks good. I wonder if this means they'll start selling a Resin Epic Rhino?

I don't know how they justify 8 more for this version, tbh

If I get my GT army done I'm going to do an Inquisitorial strike force for AI.

4 Thunderbolts (Escort)
2 Valkaries (Inquisitorial Storm Troopers)
2 Vultures (Ground support for Storm Troopers)
2 Lightning Strikes (For clearing drop zone)
1 Aquilla for the inquisitor
1 Thunderhawk (Greyknights)
1 Thunderhawk Transporter (Greyknight landraiders)

I can confirm that they will be selling them seperately.

That's 6 more.

And don't forget you get two incredibly detailed Rhinos or a Land Raider with it.

I've had the the Transporter in my hands and those underslung vehicles are things of true beauty.

Mageboltrat, the Aquilla isn't available yet but I suspect we'll see it soon. Wouldn't Lightnings instead of T-Bolts be more in line with your theme?

Why do you recon that? thunderbolts are the workhorse of the Imperial Navy so they are more likely to be able to be 'borrowed'.

Hmm.. I wonder if a Chaos Chapter conversion could be made with this ?

Anyone else having the same idea ?

Mageboltrat, I thought the Lightnings were navy and T-Bolts Guard? Just seems that Space Marines would have the Navy chaps escorting them down from space. Not that T-Bolts are 'wrong' in any way. Just a theme question.

All planes are Imperial Navy, except rare squadrons for example Phantine Air Corp which are part of the Imperial Guard as they are recruited due to their guard levy, as all Phantines are pilots..

Just one thing about the thunderhawk transporter, is finding somewhere for the flying stand, I ended up putting mine in the back rhino against my better judgement.

Mine is on it's way. I hadn't thought about where to drill the hole for the base. Did you manage to find a better place to balance it?

If the back rhino is glue on solidly then it(about 3mm from the front of the rhino) is the center of gravity of the whole model so make sure you're carefull, I have no idea about the land raider one.

I had a similar problem with my lightnings, the centre of gravity is right in the middle of the autocannon so I had to drill the holes just off centre at the back... would doing this screw up the look and balance of the model?

I did the same with my lightnings, if the hole is the right width for the flying stand then it shouldn't matter as the lightnings are light enough for it to not matter.

The transporter on the other hand is a bit heavier so COG is important.

Thanks for the heads up, as I have got the one with the Rhinos!

I think I have been spoiled with my Chaos ones as they all come pre-drilled!

it's a bit breakable if you do that by the looks of things
