Does anyone use one of these for anything other than aesthetic reasons?

Are you just paying for the ability to teleport in with assault terminators basically?

:::shrug::: I had one as a separate unit and lucked out him and the the squad that had Belial and 4 termies with LC's, DS on the same turn and then next turn was just foul once I got them to assault together.

throw one out of a LRC with LC armed assault terminators.
that little horde of nasty can roll up an entire army

personally i think chaplains in terminator armor are kinda useless. the whole point is to keep the chap' around to rally troops and stuff. you dont want him charging into battle and getting blasted into the future by some lucky ork or some crap.

You must be the first person ever who doesn't want their Chaplain in assault...

Although I've found Chaplains with Jump Packs are far more powerful, as they get there quicker and more reliably.

Don't bother swapping the Crozius out however, not usually worth the points. Keep him cheap.

The Strike Force of the 1st (Veteran) Company of the Adeptus Astartes Righteous Fists is often accompanied by the Master of Sanctity Epiclastes, in a suit of Tactical Dreadnought armour that has been handed down from Chaplain to Chaplain for over five hundred years.

He's good at killing the enemies of Humanity, you know. :)

Terminator chaplains are the best armed and armoured HQ choices for DA unless you decide to take a spec character

dunno, a force weapons on a Termi Libby is nasty

I usually leave my chap in power armour, he already have an invul save

Chaplain Benninstein of the Relictors has been known to thump around in one of the few sets his group have, currently I'm working on attaining him some artificer armour though.
But it is all about flavour and theme anyway.

I have a chaplain with terminator armour, Crozius and a chainfist, in a squad of 7 assault terminators with lightning claws in a crusader. If it works its unstoppable...if the raider dies...bit of a waste of points.

no since since I play against a large number of anti MEQ weapons, I usually end up relying on the invul save over the Armour save

Not necessarily. "From chaplain to chaplain" could be just 2 chaplains.

Space Marines live for centuries. You gotta figure that, after all that time, their luck would run out eventually.

I read that to mean that the suit has been through many chaplins hands.

perhaps they moved on to bigger and better things and handed the armour down. Dreadnoughts perhaps....

Terminator Chaplains are pretty cheap, can deepstrike, have good special rules, and are nasty in assault. All that, plus its a beautiful model

Once I saw this model I knew I wanted to get back into the hobby, just beautiful.

The terminator chaplain made me start an all terminator army :)

The chaos terminator lord made me start Chaos Black Legion :)

These terminator models are just so damn nice.

My best friend has the ancient tiny Terminator Chaplain, as I brought him into the hobby at the very beginning of 4th Edition. It's performed extremely well, and we're both kind of afraid that the new model might not do as well in-game...
