I've played 40 for a while and am interested in Necromunda, any advice on a gang to pick?(I played Pre-codex Deathwing and Grey Knights if that helps) And I got the rules of the GW website just now so I'm almost completely new.

One of the House gangs (Orlock, Escher, Van Saar, Delaque, Cawdor, Goliath) are a good starting point. No fancy special rules to trouble yourself with.

Your 40k armies seem to be able to do shooting and combat with an emphasis on combat. Based on that, I would recommend Orlock. They have access to Shooting, Combat and Ferocity for the Gangers.

I would recommend buying the Orlock gang Box (8 models) and a blister pack or two for extra Gangers and Juves. That should provide you with more than enough models to start with. It should mean you have a few spare models for different weapon options or for expanding the gang later. They are also easy to convert from plastic Catachans and other stuff from your bits box.

Thanks, where do I find the rules for Orlock? I looked around the website but probably just overlooked it if its on the GW website.

They're all in the underhive rulebook (http://www.specialist-games.com/necromunda/documents/NECROLRB2_000.pdf), can be found under the rulebook-file at specialist-games.

Also worth pointing out that in Necromunda, pistols have a long range of 16" having only recently switched from 40k, it is something that is causing me trouble.
