Heres a pic of what you get in the box. The Banner is very well sculpted

Wow! The banner looks indeed very well sculpted. There is hope for me to get it painted decently. ;)

Have fun,

Rolf.

Hang on, Calgar's in two bits?
Glad to see the champion with the gladius has the arms seperate. will making snipping the weapon off a lot easier.

Actually, Calgar comes in 10 bits, well, five orderable bits, if you count the sprues as one each...

I told you all! Last June! :p But did people believe me?

I would have posted the pics about a month ago, but before i got the chance Portent went down.

Its a very easy to convert model being in so many bits - makes the marneus in power armour look positively tiny as well

Maybe it is because most of the time we read Sorry, I can't tell you anything that we just skipped this bit of information... ;)

Have fun,

Rolf.

*drool* i want one, is the marneus model posable or do all of the bits only fit on one way, also is the head separate?

While on the subject where's the mould tab for marneus' torso? Found out last night the ones on the IH chest plates are in a pig of a place, having trouble removing them in fact.

The head is seperate. The legs only fit on to the body/cape bit in one way. The arms could be posed slightly differently if you want, but you have to bear in mind that he is standing on a rock, with one leg higher than the other, so if you fiddle too much he will look stoopid :p

Mould tab on torso? Its on the side of the cloak i think, where his head is attached as part of the sprue.

Any suggestion on how to remove that!?

This guy did something interesting, but for all the conversions, it seems it still only fits together one way.

Well, assuming you mean what i think you mean, then it will be easily removed with clippers and some filing. Its just a piece of metal!

If on the other hand you are talking about something else, then i dont know what you mean as there is nothing else that would need removing on the model.

Even after staring at it for 5 minutes non-stop.

Does anyone have an idea as to why ze Germans get the prefferred part list guide in the back of WD and no one else does?

Aha so that's the missing assault sprue.

Yeah, and it's got a shiny power axe on it! I've been waiting for a nice plastic one for a while.

I tried to enchance the pic of that sprue, click here (http://www.student.oulu.fi/~tommioja/kuvat/40k/assaultsprue.jpg)to see some kind of a result.

Thanks :)

The initial scan is a lot better, but I had to resize for photobucket - here (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y137/gaebriel/AssaultSprue.jpg) is another try so.

Wow! That Marneus on ebay is nice! Love the customisablity of it!

Wondering how he manged to size those Lightning Claws to fit termi armour.

Pity that everyone else can't go back to it, made it alot easier to plan a conversion instead of having to see what's in a blister pack at the store.

Sorry, thought from the description it was inside the bowl of the waist like the pigging IH chestplates. Obviously from the pic it's not!

Because they are horribly oversized for power armour ;)

Well, I know the fist/claws are but the shoulder pads as well? Maybe he sculpted the shoulder pads on.

Because that is great idea on getting some assault termies from the new plastic ones.
LCs from the Veteran Sprue and TH/SS from Lysander.

Amas Nagol

The plastic termies have removeable shoulder pads do they not? If not, he used shoulder pads from Lysander, or other metal parts and simply cut them to fit. The inverse of the way people used to use terminator parts for power armoured marines by clipping off their shoulders.

The Ape

Plastic termie shoulder pads are removable - yes.

Lysanders however, are not.

Cut to fit..... ie: they are attached to the arms.
