I'm flying from egypt to the U.S. (Long planeride right there!), stopping in England for 2 weeks, traveling the U.S. visiting, then moving to philadelphia (Most likely) at the end of the summer. I'm pretty sure I need a carrying case for my army but I can't seem to find the money. Can you guys help me with some cheap places to buy carrying cases, preferably online?

Well there is not much out there cheaper than the GW one, but try Googling Figures in Comfort, they do good cases and they are not all "branded" up for those that like to remain a little discreat!

There are lots. Most are cheaper than GW, many (though not all!) are better.

FIC (http://www.figuresincomfort.co.uk/), as mentioned above, are alright, but I'd not put one of their soft boxes in a cargo hold, so...

Check out eM4 Miniatures (http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/index.html), for very nice big boxes that carry lots, have wheels and such and are very durable indeed, of which they do two sizes. They look like proper traveling trunks infact, very sturdy.
Look under Battlehive, under accessories.
Big cases cost just shy of 60 and are equivelant to 4 GW cases. Small cost 35 and are equivelant to 2 GW cases.
They deliver quickly and Doug, the owner, is very helpfull indeed.

Also, check out their range of dice, it's huge!

For foam sheets that fit into GW cases, look at FIC again, or try out Gwindi (http://www.tabletop-store.com/default.php?cPath=746&language=en), as they sell great foam trays, are cheap, and deliver remarkably fast from Germany for a decent price.
Check out the 'Raster' foam trays, which are the type with pre-cut removable squares, ideal for tanks or monsters.

Hope that helps a little.

Hi guys

Jules here from FIC, we tested our cases on Easyjet baggage handlers 4 times so we know they work well, and by adding the new foam bases the protection has doubled.

We can post out quickly if you are in a rush.

Just a side question..

Are you doing a tournament world tour or just going on vacation?

If the latter why chug your miniatures along?

KR Multicase are worth a look. You used to be able to get a discount via TLA, but I'm not sure if its still running...

Lots of people on TLA swear by them! Certainly they are the cheapest we can find.

Yeah I really need to find a cheap way to transport my army, preferably as soon as this weekend. Anyone know where you can get soft foam not on the internet? I'm thinking maybe somewhere that has packing supplies. I could really use some foam just for a temporary solution before I get the money for a proper case.
