hi all,

Does the Scaly Skin armor save get modified by the strength of an attack, just like how normal armor saves are?

Scaly skin save functions exactly* like a normal armour save, you can even combine it with other armour to increase the models save.

*Two excepetions: 1. There is (at least were) a magic sword wich negates scaly skin save; 2. If you walk into quick-sand (as per the Lustria-book) it doesn't increase your chanse of dying.

Ya, that rule has been not been in since 5th edition.

Yeah, during 5th edition Scaly Skin acted as a 6+ Ward Save.
Since 6th edition, Scaly Skin is simply "extra armour", whose main advantage is that it doesn't count as wearing armour when you pick "real" armour for your Lizardmen models. It stacks with light/heavy armour.

Very OffTopic:

But I fondly remember the days as you could equip your Slaan with the Heart of Woe and let him do the *tactical nuke* thingie :)

Great stuff that was. Atomic space frogs.
I don't miss 5th edition at all though. Weird, huh? :D
