Hi everyone, ive had these renegades laying about for a while now and ive never been sure what to do with them. At one point they were going to be undead storm troopers then skitarii etc... But now ive decided im goint to make them into nurgle renegades. Here are my efforts so far.

Im going to give him a horn plauge bearer style and since taking the photo ive tidied up the bit where the banner touches the marine.

A group of renegades

and a heavy bolter

I made the loader guy from a gnoblar, I gave him a head mage from the bottom of a dark eldar helmet and greestuffed the top of his head gave him an air tank made from the renegade flamer tank and some guitar string and gave him a laspistol. I plan to make a few of these to add a bit of veriaty to squads.

Looking good, love a bit of stentch and disease!

07-04-2007, 13:48
Excellent stuff! I especially like the commander and the entrenched heavy bolter, that little guy is really creeping me out. :)

Heres a little wip fella, im going to add a tube going from the tanks to his mouth as soon as I get hold of some superglue. I find his face genuinly terrifying for some reason!

Ive got a sarge on the way made in a similar fashion with a power fist almost as big as he is. Enjoy.

Ripper conversions (why can everyone afford FW parts but me <pout>).
Briliant bit of 'spice' with that little guy, and yes that head from your WIP is giving me the heebee-jeebies!

Militia! Militia! Militia!

Ripper conversions (why can everyone afford FW parts but me <pout>).

I think mainly people who are living in England can afford FW parts cause of the high transport costs and strong English Pound...

Dunno, I can't and I live near the factory!

Dunno, I can't and I live near the factory!

If I remember correct, you have two kids and "sponsor" their W40K armies... Thats kind of worst money sink I can imagine ;)

@ the project: Very nice conversions! I like it much.

4 kids!

And stop making such good models you git! I was swinging away from Nurgle till I saw your stuff!

13-04-2007, 23:40
Right, ive got some supplies so tommorow expect updates. I hope to get the freaky little guy done aswell as the little sergent with the power fist and possible make a start on a concept ogryn. Im trying to come up with a colour scheme involving white but it want it to be dirty, the thing is I either paint it so it looks too clean or so it looks sloppily done. Any advise anyone?

Ha, great flamer trooper. The concept is very Chaos.

14-04-2007, 13:28
Love the commander. Where did you get the vulture?

14-04-2007, 13:47
The giant sprue I think.

14-04-2007, 14:40
Bloody hell, I want one for my skellies but it's an awful lot to pay just to get the vulture! Actually, I had toyed with making a giant deamon prince based on the giant model.....I wonder.

14-04-2007, 15:50
You get a crow aswell which im putting on my mini commander.

14-04-2007, 23:17

Looking great. A lot of character.

16-04-2007, 19:38
A small update. Here is what they will look like painted.

I tried a white colour scheme and couldent get it to work so in the end I settled for the traditional nurgle green.

Uhhh...:wtf: mate? Anyways, back on-topic, they look like they are in biohazard suits. I dunno if I love the green on them. I think it looks good, I just like it a bit more sickly. Maybe a failed batch of filters! And nice use of gnoblars, I dont think I will sleep well tonight after seeing that dude with the air tanks...:p

18-04-2007, 09:06
These are coming along brilliantly, the commanders pet is a MUST have! What a little dude!

The graffiti/runes on the SM chest on the banner is a nice efect.

Keep it coming!!

18-04-2007, 09:23

23-04-2007, 18:11

Ok update time, here is the scavvy mutt, enjoy.

24-04-2007, 00:21
He's cool, I want one!

24-04-2007, 00:52
Yeah he's a mean lookin **** isent he.

25-04-2007, 22:08
I made a start on an ogryn today, I went for a respirator style mask but im not very happy with it so I think ill do the rest similar to forgeworlds. You cant see it in this pic but ive put a plate in his head to indicate some kind of brain surgery type shenanigans and im going to give him one bionic eye. Im not sure what to make the weapons from so if anyone has any ideas they would be most welcome. Enjoy.

26-04-2007, 10:23
How about a giant scythe?

26-04-2007, 15:33
Ahhhhhhaha awesome spiked slippers, I never thought to do that with my ogres! Then again, most of mine are using their ironfists to pound them some faces ...

I for one kinda like the gas mask, or at least the tank sticking out of it. The pup is good stuff too, keep up the good work.
