Ok, if you make a troll slayer into a giant slayer does it become able to issue and recieve challenges get look out sir etc...

If so if i upgrade the whole unit does that mean each attack has to be assigned individually and if there is more then 5 do impact hits from a chariot only hit one of them? I could prolly come up witha lot more odd ball senarios i am just trying to figure out how it would work.

Yes giant slayers are able to make and accept challenges and look out sir does apply.

If your whole unit is giant slayers, hits can be applied to the whole unit. This also applies if you have your whole first rank as giant slayers.

Another permutation:
All but one in the front rank are Giant slayers:

If the Dwarf opponent wishes to target one or more Giant slayers, he has to allocate hits on each Giant slayer separately.
If the player simply rolls all his attacks and says he is targeting the Giant slayers, the dwarf player could easily assume that one [or maybe 2 if the models are not in btb contact] Giant slayers only is being targetted.
e.g. 6 attacks causing 5 wounds - 1 Giant slayer is killed and the other 4 wounds are discarded!

At which point the Dwarf player gets thumped in the stomach and his army case stolen.

but, if he doesn't specify, all the normal slayers die, and the giant slayers get ignored completely.

So, you can kill 5 slayers from the front rank, and the 4 giant slayers who were there still fight, while 5 goobers are removed from the back.

No, as only 2 or three models could in any case direct attacks against the one non champion...

If it were as easy as that, it would be too easy :D
