Howdy folks,

My Necromunda gang has two uses:
1) gang
2) chaos cult for big games of 40K

I currently have 46 men to choose from in my gang, but no one REALLY stands out as a leader among them. Can you recommend a model that would looks awesome enough as a chaos cult leader, but not too over the top and bling to be a gang leader?

Here's a pic

Very nice, maybe have a look at GW online specialist games Redeemer, Karloth Valois, Bounty Hunter 3 or the Deacon body with a little attention im sure that you could make them into someting interesting.by the way what gang rules are you useing them as ,as i would like to start playing Necro with FW chaos renigades.

Is that a wood-panelled missile launcher?! Hmm, retro...what sort of look are you going for with your leader - the chaotic "I've got the killiest mace and nifty spiked armour" look or more the bookish leader who dabbles in the dark arts a bit ("let's see: Chaos Undivided for Dummies, chapter 7, page 53, 'how to destroy the space time continuum on a budget'")? Some of the old redemptionist models might be the way to go, as the masks, robes and hoods can be made to look suitably sinister with enough chaos iconography. Alternatively find a warhammer priest/mage/necromancer with a robe and a staff, if you're not afraid of a little greenwork...

someone sorceresque would probably be more suitable for my robed and sneaky looking cult.

I think the Mordheim Necromancer might do the trick...with a gun in his hand ;)

Delaque because they look sneaky! Although I'd bet good money that some nobber will insist they're Cawdor simply because they're robed.

Your cultists look great. Have you heard of the plastic Wizard set coming out for WFB? The bodies might not be big enough to fit with the armoured gangers but the accessories (such is evil-skull-forming-from-mist-from-a-bottle) may be cool. There used to be a link on Warseer to a Polish site which had a picture of the sprue but they were asked to remove the pic. It should be released this summer though, so not too long to wait.

Well you could make a new model. GIve him a pistol of some kind and a chainsword. Or you could use the model with either the bolter or the one with the plasma gun.

Those are pretty cool models. The only part I can't figure out is the heads. Are those GS hoods or did you get them from an existing model?

As for leader models, The Redemptionist range has some good choices.

Checked dates for the Wizards. Early May the stores get samples for you to look at. Mid June they're available as part of the Empire Reinforcements Battallion (also including plastic Flagellants). They should then be available separately early July in boxes of two, both on foot.

I'll give you a clue: They prance around in the woods and hug trees :D

Yeah, sod it, the bolter guy can be leader.

One of the inquisitor models for 40k might make a good leader

Those look highly familiar (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77591). Am I missing something here?

The Cadian officer might work as a base for the leader, he's got the robe and the armour.
