Some terminators to show what I have been planning to do. They will get badly nurglified.

The goal is to make a 1000pt army before summer encounters.

The painting is fine mate and I like the rhino. If you can pick up a few cheap plastc termies on e-bay, your conversion opportunities would be awsome.

Thanks guys!

About the termies. Im trying to survive with the minis I already have. We'll see what I manage to do with those metal bad ass'

And about painting. I trie to keep it easy and fast. I dont like painting armies, single miniatures yes, armies not. So I try to make them look effective from normal tabletop distance, close ups are just murder :D

The best thing is that I really enjoy playing with these guys. Made a broken 750pts army list from these minis and managed to beat Black templars and tyranids. Yey.. PMs are furious in CCs

C&C is welcome

Malakian

Up! dont die yet :) I will get my hands to those termies tonight. Any suggestions what to do for them? Think I wont give em bloated bellys. Something new this time.

I really like the conversion work on these guys, and the paint jobs are very representative of DG. Keep up the good work! If I can suggest anything, it is to make sure not to forget to drill the barrels on all the guns.

Your Termie's looking the part, do you need more inspiration for them, or are they coming along as you wanted?

Yup just they way I want.. but the converted termie you saw is far from complete. He well get his legs done in the same way as other minis and he well get a rhino horn. Other things will come up as I sculpt. every sculpting session of mine is an adventure. You never know what the result will be ;). I still look other minis and pictures for inspiration, but mostly the ideas will pop up while Im sculpting.

Not at the moment. I thought keeping them that way, but if I come up with some cool conversion ideas I will crap to it. Otherwise they will keep their look.

do i know you from a steam mod?

I dont even know what steam mod is :D.

Now I have been working on extra armours for my rhino. I found my model to look even more uniq with some armourplatings on it. But I made them totally destroyed. A lieutenant (dont know how to spell it) is on his way too!

Great work... I have seen so many nurgle logs on warseer in recent weeks. All have been a pleasure (if such a word is suitable for nurgle!) to read through, and all have been different. Your sculpting skills are first rate. I adore the fly like eyes on your terminators. Looking forward to seeing those and the dred painted up!

Hey, cool.

I plan to Nurglify some normal SMs at some time in the future.

Only one thing: The squads arent 7-man? Grandfather Nurgle will not be happy...

Strelok
20-04-2007, 03:04
The cyclopian plaguebearer dreadnought is brilliant! My only thought is to give him the single horn in the forehead, a trait common to those blessed by Father Nurgle. Mainly cus it would look sweet. Also, what about moddind the CC weapon to look more scythe-like?

Malakian
20-04-2007, 07:29

a horn, yes

a skythe, no becouse Im going give him a sharper crab claw than the normal one.

I already mentioned that I ran out of models. They will be 7-man squads when I get more models

cheers..

OrlyggJafnakol
20-04-2007, 08:46
I would second Strelok's comments about the horn and scythe... both iconically nurgle...

I am also really impressed with the way you have used a scalpel to cut into theplasticof the dread and 'nurgle' it up. The effect is really subtle and not too over the top.

Have you any guitar strings? I would recommend buying them from a music shop, for they make excellent pipes or instestines. I can imagine decayed pipe work tumbling from the sarcophagus.

I want to see this model finished and painted!

OrlyggJafnakol
20-04-2007, 08:47
Oh, and how about a few nurglings crawling about on him..?

Malakian
20-04-2007, 09:23
"about guitar strings?"

Guitar strings cost too much. a full set of them costs over 40 euros! I dont know where do you buy yours but I cant afford them. If I may ask what strings do you use? E, A, and D ? they are pretty thick.

What do you think of the extra armours? are they big enough. Mine is 0.5mm I also have 1mm plasticard but It might be too thick? not sure. how about you?

Yo I might consider those nurglings too.

Greblord
20-04-2007, 15:49
I bought a single low E string from my local music shop - was only about £3 (€5), and there is enough on there for a whole army...

I got inspired by the forgeworld Guo, jabba and Hayao Miyazaki's demons.

Now I'll go get my hands dirty with greenstuff ->

Ps I thought oogie boogie is made of maggots and worms, He has just some rag cloth to keep them inside ;)
I Might consider adding some maggot thingies to my GUO
