OK,Where, {or is there} can i find the updated PDF for the Necromunda Online Rulebook ?

I downloaded the one linked from the necromunda homepage on the Specialist Games site, which appaeared to still have a bunch of typos in it.
The very next day, my friend shows me a version he has downloaded that same day and printed out, which has different starting weapon lists and suchlike in it. {in particular page 78}

Why are there seemingly two versions of the official rulebook available for download? And which is the correct one ?

okay, but that one isnt linked from any of the necromunda pages i have been to, the version i am always directed to is a different file, its 2.6MB not 4.3MB for a start [depsite being the complete rulebook in both instances] Also, if i download the individual sections, i still get the version consistent with the 2.6MB one.

The only version i can find linked from the Specialist Games site is this one :

This is the version found at Specialist games > Necromunda > Rulebook

Nope, that is the old one. Totally out of date!

This is the correct one. It is smaller in filesize, and contains a lot of the recent LRB updates.

A simple check is on page 77; heavies are allowed to take basic weapons, but this was missed off the Heavy's description in the original version of the LRB.

Hmm, yes, the HWLs are widely considered to be pretty crap.

I would suggest that you totally ignore them; allow any gang member to choose whatever they want subject to category restrictions only (eg, only Heavies can take a Heavy Bolter, but anyone can have a Laspistol). Ditto common equipment like Filter Plugs or Photo Visors.

It makes the games and gangs much more fun, and this system is how it was in the original Necromunda release. The HWL were a Fanatic/SG add-on that adds nothing IMHO.

Good luck!
