I have a small predicament, my rule book from BFSP does not seem to have point cost per level of magic. Can you help?

The points costs for each unit, including upgrades such as levels of magic for wizards, are to be found in each of the warhammer army books.

The points costs vary from army to army, so they are in the army books rather than the main rule book.

Thanks! For a moment I thought there were pages missing.:)

Consider that there isn't a cost for level; there is a cost for mage and archmage (in most armies). Mages are level 1 wizards, archmages are level 3 wizards. Each of them may usually gain 1 level paying points (35 in many cases).

Some armies can't even get level 3 wizards even if they wanted to. (Lizardmen anyone?)

Then again, I shouldn't complain when we get level 4 mages with 4-6 spells each. Or even 8 in case of a special character.

Though I'll have to agree, the extra magic level usually costs 35 points.

Thanks most helpful. I saw in the wood elf book the 35 pt cost for level advancement. I really need to study hard to play this game.
