Man how many logs/threads/whatnot have I started...well MANY lol!

This`ll be my SINGLE thread where I log everything I do, simpler for me and simpler for you.

This is what I`ve got going at the moment:
(if you click on the "Red`s Myriad Projects Log you`ll see everything I`ve done on the various armies/stuff listed underneath. This log will only cover everything I do from today)

[40k] edited 2009-01-30
4000 pts Ork Horde.
The entire Red Krumpany in it`s glory!

[Blood Bowl] edited 2009-01-30

First pic update coming right here.

[Necro]
Here`s a PiP pic of my "scouty ganger":
http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/5354/ganger1v3qx1.png
I`ve said it somewhere else, but this one is inspired by Catferret`s ratskin scout and also the first ganger I made for my gang.

[BB]
First WiP pics of my Beast of Nurgle.
http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/3702/beast1qm3.png
He`s on a 40mm base and actually quite massive. I built up the core of the model with foamcard and cut it into a shape I liked. I`ll be adding some armour to him and beef up his pads. He`ll also get the spiky treatment like the rest of the team.

Painting has been slow lately due to the coming finals in my local BB league.

Still I got some goodies from mail order previously today;
http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/3255/reinforcementsjo8.png

All of these will boost my House Orlocks gang:
- Medical Officer Dorden
Obviously as a medic when (or rather if) I get the skill on one of my gangers. Still I like the mini and I`m already looking forward to painting him.

- Ox
He`s gonna be equipped with some cc weapons, most likely a power axe. This is also a very cool mini with loads of character!

- Catachan Heavy Flamer
Just shows how nice the metal catachans actually are. Will be either a heavy or a ganger turned specialist.

Sooooo....try to get my **** into gear and paint some right....

FIRST POST?!

I like the scouty ganger, nice conversion and solid painting. Will be excellent to see that level of paint on the other orlock gangers!

The beast is likewise a nice build, I look forward to his head and some paint, so get to work ;)

@Boss_Salvage:
First post what? Maybe I`m tired after work but I don`t follow ya on that one :)
Cheers on the orlocks & mah beast :D

@jasevx:
Thanks :)
Yeah the last chancers & gaunt`s ghosts have a very nice set of minis for some variation.

A PiP of a couple of pestigors for my BB Nurgle Team. Need some opinions on the fur. Does it blend okey with the other colours, should I tone it even lighter?

Oh and don`t worry, the shinyness will disappear when I dullcoat m ;)

R

GabrielAngelos
10-05-2007, 21:52
The pestigors look pretty nice, I would probaly say just a slightly lighter brown highlight on the fur might make it pop a little bit more, great stuff ;)

Red Skullz
10-05-2007, 21:54
Thanks :)

Yeah I kinda feel the same way too. The rest of the team is fairly muted and the fur is just to odd in the mix..

Arraity then, I`ll give it a go and get m dullcoated and we`ll see how it turns out :D

Your log had been around for a few days with no one posting on it despite the great pics in each post. I was shocked that I was, in fact, the first person to post at all besides yourself ;)

That said, awesome bash on the pestigors, I like them a lot. Love how lop-sided that one guy is.

@Boss_Salvage:
Ah, that clears it all up :) Yeah I`m quite used to no one responding on my threads (not being bitter here, seriously..) but hopefully it`ll turn around when I start picking up speed again with the modelling & painting.

I`ll post up some better angles on the pestigors next, the pic I took was hastily done and is rather crappy.

@Warvolt the skaven:
Thanks :D Exciting for you and me both ;) I have some wacky ideas I want to try out on the Orlocks so keep an eye out!

Hey Red I've found you!! Hooooooraaaaayy!

Niced work on the ganger mate, he looks a little wet? (inky)

Your blood bowl models are cool as, that sickening belly, yummy! As for the fur, perhaps an extreme Bleach Bone highlight, or a Graveyard Earth something like that just to lighten the fur tips, maybe, possibly, ?

Glad you told me where you were posting Red, cheers mate.

Red Skullz
11-05-2007, 23:34
@Ninners:
Cheers bud :D

@Ross:
Glad you`ve found your way here bud, I should`ve posted in the Necro thread that this would be the "new place" but I forgot it (memory like a goldfish..).

Here`s todays update:
http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4061/pestigors4vk4.png

I did a light overhaul on the fur with graveyard earth to tone it down, worked fairly well imo. Ah well, they`re done now so I`m happy enough lol

http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5388/ganger1v4vr0.png
Crappy pic I know. It`s quite dark outside now so I had to tweak the light and contrast in photofiltre to get something out of it..
Did the guncasing in a dark green this time. I`ll do all the casings in varying colours to add more colour and variation to the gang. So for the lasguns I`m thinking wood.

Feel free to comment :)

Pestigors looks great, fur looks much better now :)

The ganger looks pretty nice, though it looks from the angle that he's offering the goggles to some one else ;)

Nah not offering just holding it right after use :p

The graveyard brings out the individual hairs, great idea, wish i'd thought of it ...... ;) tee hee hee

Those gors (or should that be gore's?) are great, I was just showing the missus and we both agree!! The bull skull head with the missing flesh is a great conversion idea Red, brilliant!!

The scout looks tops now he has the denim jeans and colour added, for some dumb reason I thought the first pic with the inks was the 'near to finished' pic. Doh' Any one'd think I hadn't seen your other ones! Well it is before 9am :)

Red Skullz
12-05-2007, 00:25
Cheers bud :)

Yeah graveyard earth made the big difference there so thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I was contemplating snakebite leather for some reason..

It`s gors or rather pestigors. I had to scavenge for parts when assembling the pestigors and I didn`t get more than one normal gor head so I decided to use various skulls from banners and whatnot.
I also quite like the effect the zombie arms has on the minis. Normal gor arms are really buff with well sculpted muscles and I felt it gave the wrong kind of bulk. The zombie arms fixed that problem but I must say that I`m reallly dissapointed with the zombie regiment set...you can tell it`s one of the first ones cause it`s not "that" many goodies in there..:(

As far as the scout goes. I`ve recently started painting minis from a white basecoat and in doing that I "discovered" the real use for inks. I`ve never used any inks before seeing as I didn`t feel I needed them. Now the great thing about inks imo (this is probably obvious to 99% of ya) is that on older minis especially you really bring out the details with brown ink in particular making it ten times easier to get a nice paintjob on the mini.

Speaking of the time...it`s approx 5 hours until my son will wake up so better go to bed..

Dang...I guess I commited a cardinal sin by not posting my workarea in my inital post..

So here it is:
http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/3048/workarea2li4.jpg

We`ve recently moved into a newer and better apartment (someone might remember my workarea from the "Prowlin da Streets" blog). Also just recently got my new office desk from Ikea so it`s all not finished yet but it works fairly well even now.

My office desk(s) are mainly divided into three areas:
- Paint Section:
I only keep the WiPs & PiPs and the paint and tools I need for my current work on here. The rest is stored in shelves & boxes in the office.
- Da Boss` Computer Nerdy Area
well my part of it as well lol!
- GFs appointed place:
Well she nagged a lot so I had to give her some space in the office (our son is quite fond of playing w/computers, he`s almost 2 years old..). Not more than necessary as you can see.

If ya want to see the clutter known as my shelves & cabinet system I can post that up as well.

[Necro] update:
Medic & gang leader:
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/8513/extras1bg1.png

Opinions needed here.

I`m wondering about the:
- brown skin good enough?
- colour on eye patch?
- possible colour for the medics shirt?
- blood splatter on the medics cloth?
- oldish or middle-ageish beard?

R

Ross
13-05-2007, 00:19
Hell Red that was quick, didn't you just get them yesterday!?!?!?

Nice work on them both!

That medic looks cool, fits in well. Blood splatter would be OK, but I would advise not to go overboard. THEORY: The gang looks cleanish and well kept, therefore the medic (and any armourers ect) would be 'profesionel' and keep their gear/clothes/scalpuls clean. Well that would be my reasoning :)

The leader, I really don't know. He looks cool, the brown works but I have no experiance with painting skin that colour so I'm no help. But he does look like he's built/painted for that roll.

Sorry I just rambled, Ross.

Red Skullz
13-05-2007, 00:42
@Ross:
Only the medic ;)

So I kicked myself into gear and finished the medic and leader, here`s the result:

Medic:
http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/9140/medicau1.png
Went for a black beard to give him a bit more youth than the mini had. Other than that I kept to a pretty simple scheme but still kept him in line with the rest of the gang.

Gang Leader:
http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/2646/gangleader1zq0.png
Did the plasmagun the same way I did the bolter, just to tie in the hi-tech weaponry in the gang. I`ll still be doing autoguns in green casing and lasguns in wooden casing.
I went for dirty yellow hazard stripes on the chainsword to get some variation and a smiley on the eyepatch just for laughs really. Helps with keeping a bit of humour into it and de-militarises them as well. I`ll be doing some t-shirt motifs on other gangers as well.
Didn`t do anything more on the brown skin either, quite happy with the result but it does look better IRL (as it usually does..). I`ll be doing more gangers with dark skin just to add to the colour mix in the gang.

Finally here`s a pic of the finished gang so far:
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/4465/gangv2dl3.png
Looks pretty decent if I can say so myself lol

Comments please.

Looks pretty decent if I can say so myself lol

You most cercainly can Red, they're great, seriously!
The dirty tiger stripes look very effective, it's some thing I tried just recently (yeah I know RT used that theme way back when) and I reckon for non-marines it really comes alive!
By the way, what colour green is the lasgun casing? I'd pick it as Scaly Green?
You've inspired me sir, I'm off to do a similar project, cheers!

P.S. Smiley eye patch, love it!

Red Skullz
13-05-2007, 11:10
Thanks :D

It`s scaly green over a black basecoat yes. Also a fair bit of blacklining to get a more striking result.

Glad to help inspire others seeing as I thrive on a host of other great threads which I loot from at random :)

The bases where meant to be nice looking & varied but in a way that they didn`t steal any attention from the minis. Glad I`ve achieved that :)

spikyjames I think you need to as well, would love to see your take on necro :D

On another note. Since I moved I haven`t had the time to set up a proper rig for taking pics. Not to grant myself more credit than what`s due but man it` frustrating to see all the details gone cause of poor conditions...I will make it a priority, nuff said bout that.

Finally starting to pick up speed again, here`s what I`ve done:
[Necro]
First off is my heavy#2 armed with a plasmagun:
http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/7451/heavy3v1ow0.png
As you can see I had to cut, carve & drill the lasgun he had away. It`s a one-piece mini. Result turned out proper so now it`s adding a backpack with power cells, knife & autopistol.

Then it`s heavy#3 armed with a flamer:
(I know I can only have 2 heavies but I hope on getting the specialists skill)
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/6517/heavy2v2ex0.png
This is how I start off when using a white basecoat. All colours that can be based from brown is inked heavily with brown ink, same goes with the black parts and black ink.

Finally this time around, my "super-ganger":
(for more on why I`m making this guy, check here;
http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/3051/superganger1v1yq2.png
Originally intended to make a shooty superganger but I had that powerfist lying around so started with a hth superganger. I`ll obviously make a shooty ganger as well lol!
When it comes to this guy. I want to make stimms on him, any ideas on how or what parts would work for that?

R

Ross
14-05-2007, 22:47
God damn he's loaded up!! That hth super heavy's one mean hombre. What about little tubes (one or two) on his belt (coloured brightly, painted as half filled vials) with a tube to his throat? Problem may be that he'll look too busy? Or pop a tube or two on the left side of his head like a beer hat with an IV into his neck? (How's that for first thing in the morning?)

Red Skullz
14-05-2007, 22:51
@Ross:
Indeed he is and I ain`t even done with him yet :D
I`ve added the flasks from two flamers onto his shoulders. They will simulate the stimms. Worked quite well in fact as he needed something in that height to balance it all off. I`m now wondering about what more I could possibly do to the torso area, he needs something but what I`m not so sure about..

--

Man I`ve been effective today, flamer dude all done!
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/heavy2v3.jpg
Yet again I`ve tried out a different colour on the casing, even if it`s white and therefore very similar to the shirts & so forth it still works really well. A bit SoB-ish but I don`t care, I like it.
Also feel that I`m getting more and more control on the blacklining, the details and the entire model is a lot more sharp if you know what I mean.

talast,
Red

GabrielAngelos
15-05-2007, 00:30
Yea, the casing looks really nice, The red shield thingy in on the back looks really nice, and contrasts well with the model, keep it up!

Catferret
15-05-2007, 03:19
Nice work Red. I shall be keeping an eye on this to see what your stuff looks like for other systems. Only seen your Necro stuff on other threads so far. The BB stuff was cool though.

Need to get back to my Necro stuff some time... Got so many ideas for new models...

Red Skullz
15-05-2007, 07:17
Thanks guys :D

The red "thing" is the fuel container actually. A modified jerrycan if you like. So I`ve never seen a jerrycan that wasn`t armygreen or bright red, obvious choice was red.

I will hopefully get my **** into gear and start painting on my buggies for my ork army soon, they`ve been waiting for months now for a lick of paint...

[Blood Bowl]

Not taking a break from my necro stuff but I like doing several things as it helps keeping me motivated. Also we had the playoffs for season 2 in my local BB league so that`s taken some time (check link in sig for all the details).

I talked about it in my first post but I`m selling my old Orc Team for Blood Bowl da Viking Kommandos (http://z11.invisionfree.com/da_Red_Tavern/index.php?showtopic=628). I`ve got several reasons for it;
- I feel it`s a bit outdated compared to the level I`m at now
- the rooster isn`t how I want it to be and I don`t want to do more on THIS team
- blue is not my lucky colour...
- I want a cooler, meaner looking team adjusted to a rooster I feel comfortable taking on the pitch.

With that said (and a far bit it was as well...), here`s some pics:

Goblin Runner, player #16
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/gobbo1.jpg
A vintage goblin player I got from a good friend of mine. Really cool mini that suits the new look I`m aiming for.

Lineorcs, players #12-15
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lineorcs1.jpg
A mix of old and new. Used orK feet and arms where needed, main body is of course Brian Nelson`s brilliantly sculpted orC boar boyz. Only minis in my new team without a helmet but with such a big head, they don`t need it lol!

Throwers, players #10-11
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/throwers1.jpg
Tankbustas with primarily hands from the old Orc Team that comes in the BB starter set. I probably don`t have to say that it was a bitch getting all those 40K specific bitz trimmed away do I..
The one with the skull mask will be my team cap`n, red skull right lol!

Here`s the gobbo runner all done:

When you actually see him in real life and at the size he`s actually in the subtle highlights work a lot better. He`s frikkin tiny ya see!

This is of course a simplified version of my new orc team`s colours, but in essence it`s red & white of course. Oh and ya gotta love that corny hat

Nah, it's only 3. There's one more but he's a little unhinged, we'd end up digging the losing models out of the wall!!!!!

The Iron Duke
17-05-2007, 00:08
There's a drawing in the Inquisitor rulebook of a guy all done up with a big pistol, a powerfist...and combat stimms! He's got two tubes/vials about as long as his head is tall sort of sticking out of his back where his shoulder blades ought to end. There are little wires running into his back or neck. Maybe that'll do the trick for your super-ganger.

Ross

Here`s a PiP of my throwers:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/throwers2.jpg
Skin is done only other thing I`ve painted on them is the first layer of red (I do not count the inking as painting only as part of the basecoating).

Then it`s the two first blitzers:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/blitzers1.jpg
Based on orKs with avy weapons, horned head is from a rd boy, the other one is from a stormboy. I`ll have to do a lot of greenstuffing and plasticard work on these guys before they`re done. Oh and healing my hands....man it`s hard work trimming off all the 40K specific stuff!!

It`s a basecoat of scorched brown then a thinned out layer of terracotta.

--

Here`s a Black Orc Blocker:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/blackorc1.jpg
He`s based on a 40k nob as ya can probably see. I`ve given him a really broad pose with the arms to give him a really intimidating look. Won`t be giving him anymore armour either, I`m taking more of a rugby approach instead of american football.
The arrow indicates where I need to flesh out his muscles some more. I`ll also make brass knuckles for both hands.

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/blitzers2.jpg

Based on the metal orks from the avy weapon blisters. Used plasticard on their backs and shoulder pads on the front of the torso to hide the mess after the removal of all the pouches, ammo and backpacks.

Only got 1 blitzer, 3 linemen and 3 black orcs and my starting rooster is all done :D

Nice painting there, I might just suggest a little dirtying up of the metal areas, maybe just a thin wash of vermin brown ?

The BO blocker is looking really nice, cant wait to see some paint on him ;)

Red Skullz
20-05-2007, 19:03
Thanks bud :)

A wash of vermin brown? Hmm, gotta try it out..never using that colour as a wash. Thanks for the tip there :)

As for the blockers I`m currently beefing them up. Since I`ve got that pose on the arms I need to adress the "chicken wings" as well to give them proportionate muscles. Otherwise it`ll look like the "man with the largest biceps in the world".

R

Ross
20-05-2007, 22:45
Looking good Red!! I like the way you did the numbers with the white underneath. I'd never thought about that, usually it's black underneath for the 'border' then another colour. I'm learning from you everyday!! :)

I saw it somewhere and liked the effect, gives it a bit more sporty look imo. Well feel free to loot what you like, I do it all the time ;)

Been damned efficient today and managed to finish off all of my blitzers. The last two where a tad quicker to do cause of less details on the minis but I like m nonetheless.

Got a "Hulk Hogan-esque" pose to him. I`m quite happy with how the bulked out muscles turned out. I`m 99% sure that I`m painting the blorcs next, only minor details left before they`re ready for paint.

Nice stuff red, I just replied this morning and another update already, definently inpressed on how fast you can pump out models. Im still liking that BO blocker, the gs really helped the muscles out ;)

Thanks :)

I`m quite known on some forums for being one of the speedier painters/converters when I first get my steam up. Sadly it doesn`t last very long but usually long enough so that I get the job done lol

I don`t think I`ve mentioned it but I will do a full staff for this team. So far I`ve planned on doing:
- turn counter
- reroll counter
- touchdown counter
- head coach
- 2*ass coaches
- 2*cheerleaders
- apotechary
- custom ball
- mercenary wizard
- biased referee (for good luck when doing fouls lol)
- and if I have time or rather feel for it 2-3 journeymen

That's a really sweet looking BB team Red. Those Blitzers look way cooler than the official models! And that Black Orc looks immense! Really looks the part for S4!

Nice work so far. :)

Red Skullz
21-05-2007, 06:56
Thanks C :)

This is in fact my second custom orc team for BB, the only good I`ve managed to do with the official orc BB models is using their hands since they have knuckledusters or balls in them ("..or balls in them" sounds dodgy..lol!).

I also have a completed Chaos Dwarf team and as you`ve seen in this thread a WiP/PiP Nurgle Team.

But back OT again. Yeah the poses them avy weapon orks have is really cool, notice also how long their arms are. Hilarious but still very cool.
The blorc blockers are shaping up nicely as well. I`ve done the muscle work on 3 out of 4. Only minis I haven`t started building yet but got all the parts for is the last blorc and the troll.

Thanks a lot sheep :D

Would love to see that orc team of yours though ;)

Sorry for no updates yesterday, had my first proper match with the team against the "Bowl Brothers" (an ogre team with afros and lots of 70s luvvin in da hood lol). Match ended 1-1 but I got my first advancement rolls on a blitzer AND "Red Skullz" the thrower logged 2 completions

I did manage to do a bit of work on one of my blockers when I got back home so I hope that this evening when my missus has graveyard shift and mah boy is put in bed that I can prep the last things on them, get them basecoated and do the initial layers of ink.

Tried out a new way of painting dark orc skin. Really pleased with the result as it blends nicely in with the "normal" orc skin I paint but still is markedly darker. Recipe for dark orc skin:
- white basecoat
- dark green ink (to fill in the recesses)
- scaly green (incl recesses)
- layer on 2-3 thin coats of snot green
- done!

Dude, the BO looks amazing, the skin looks great, the scaly green really adds an extra depth if you compare it to the orc next to him. Nice job on him, the helmet is looking very nice as well, the stripe is a nice touch :) I was waiting for you to paint him and Im not disappointed, not that I could be at all ;)

Red Skullz
23-05-2007, 06:22
@Ross:
Yupp :D His size is really showed off due to the change in how the arms are posed + the added "chicken wings". The cool thing is that they are only slightly smaller than bull ogres but got beefier arms which reflects the blorc str 4 vs ogre str 5 nicely.
No not yewelry chain actually. A good friend of mine has a girlfriend who does a lot of scrapbook stuff and she made the chains for me ages ago. Newer really found a proper use for them before now. I use m to hide the mess after the clipped off weapons, pouches, ammo clips ;)

@Major Gilbear:
Cheers bud! Oh and don`t worry, I just received some more online store goodies for my orlocks so there will be an update soon on them as well :D

@GabrielAngelos:
Thanks a lot :D Yeah I was really uncertain about the scaly green since it has a very bluish tone but my choice was simple when I was empty of dark angels green lol Luckily it worked out really great, I hoped for dark skin but with defined muscles and I feel I pulled it off.
I use the white stripe on most of the pants and helmets for this team, helps break up the monotomy of all that red + no one else in the league I play in has red & white as their team colours.

Very nice pose on the second blocker, makes him look like he's poundung down the field ready to eat some elves. Painting looks really nice as well, the new skin looks great on him :)

So what else is left for the BB team?

Red Skullz
26-05-2007, 16:51
Cheers GA :)

Well it`s 1 blocker, 4 lineorcs, 1 troll, 3*counters, 2*cheerleaders, wizard, apotechary, head coach & biased referee.
So quite a bit left really, but most of it has been built already though so it`s mainly repainting the staff.

27-05-2007, 11:49
Thanks :D

Yeah that`s what I aimed for, afterall he`s only got Agility 2 which is rather bad truth be told lol

I`m aiming for completing the next blocker before I start with the lineorcs, that still leaves with me with the last blocker but he can wait a bit.

Got the first lineorc completed:

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/troll2.jpg
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/troll1.jpg

He`ll get a repositioning of the head, shoulder & knee pads, plasticard armour & probably some more as well.

But I`m just really happy I managed to fit the bugger on a 25mm base :D

R

Ross
29-05-2007, 03:26
Looking good on the lineorc Red. She's a tight fit for the troll!!! Does it tip over easy?

That last pic really shows how big the blocker is :) Nasty Cool.

Red Skullz
29-05-2007, 05:33
Thanks :)

Yeah it sure is a tight fit but he stands surprisingly stable on there. It`s a benefit in BB to have everything on 25mm bases since the gridiron is based on 27-28mm squares. A 40mm or a cav base is just annoying to use imo.

Yupp them blockers are massive, helped a lot by the new pose on the arms and the added muscles :D

Soooooo once this is done you'll be jumping over to the Terrain log and showing us how to build a stadium??? I'll even donate a few mini's for the crowd!! :) You'll have to do an ork streaker too ;)

P.S. not entirely kidding here, I reackon the stadium's a great idea, but if you're going to fill the crowd eeeeeeep (100,000 attendance)

Red Skullz
29-05-2007, 17:47
Yeah I should, shouldn`t I? Well not a full grown stadium, my apartement isn`t that big lol but I will make a proper home pitch for da Kruncha Bunch in addition to my portable pitch. We`ll see how much extras I pile on for that project but I hope I can squeese in some orlocks and fists before that though :)

Cheers for the generous offer but I think I can manage the crowd, I`ve already got 4 teams not counting da Kruncha Bunch lol

Veeeeery long time and no updates from me...but to make a long story short, it was due to work.

So what have I been up to then you might ask? Well...I found myself something entirely new again (doh!)..

Not that it`s a new idea or anything but it`s something I`ve been thinking about for a long time and now it`s come to the point that I`ve started it. My plan now is making da Kruncha Bunch my main BB team for Group A in our league and "da Sneaky Runtz" as my main BB team for Group B (semi pro`s). They will be linked with colours and use the same staff so no extra work there.

Ah well, onto some pics then:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/goblinlinemen1.jpg
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/goblinlinemen2.jpg
10 goblins for the team, I used snotlings to add variety throughout the team. Really unsure if I should add pads to them, but I think I`ll do it to remove the "night goblins without weapons, on round bases" look.

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/goblindirtyplayers1.jpg
The dirty players on my team. I`ll do the Looney & Pogoer as test minis for my paintscheme. Only one I`m unsure of here is the bombardier...he`s not that cool but maybe there`s hope when I paint him up.

Finally here`s a couple of vintage BB orcs I`ll use as journeymen for da Kruncha bunch:

Another PiP from me, this time it`s the Looney and a journeyman:

For da Sneaky Runtz I wanted to use the same colours as for da Kruncha Bunch but use red where I use white and so on. Quite happy with how it looks per now but I`m kinda wondering if I should add some red stripes on his robes.

Opinions?

Btw, those vintage minis with very bland details are tougher to paint than you`d think. The small amount of details can very quickly disappear if you`re not carefull..

Them gobbos turned out so nice I`ve really put the heat on myself to follow up in style. The bombardier is already improved, still needs some tweaking but I`m getting there.

As for necro...well hopefully soon! I`ve just received 4 juves (proper orlock ones), 3 catachan snipers and I`ve got 10+ something gangers on top of that to complete. 22-06-2007, 08:56
Thanks guys :) Well I`ve had to set both BB & Necro on the back shelf for a bit, need to finish off the commission job first..

As I mentioned in my first post in this thread I`m doing a 750pts Imperial Fists commission army. It`s my first commission job, taken me bloody long for other reasons than painting time & cause I`m getting REALLY tired of painting yellow..

First off, here`s how I paint a table top standard Marine:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/imppaintguide.jpg
When I first started painting these I went through a hell of a lot of stages to get a nice, dirty yellow (white basecoat, brown ink, vomit brown, bubonic brown) but things got a lot easier with Iyanden Darksun (foundation paint) as I only need to layer on that after the brown ink.

Here`s some completed stuff:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/impcdosquad.jpg
Squad Kardas, cdo squad with captain, chappie, vet.sarge, apot, flamer, MISSile launcher & standard bearer (not pictured, still PiP)

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/imptac1.jpg
Tactical Squad 1, vet sarge, meltagun, 4*bolter marines

Not at the best of my ability by a long shot but this is what he`s paying for!

Remainders for the commission:
- Hardcoat scout squad & standard bearer
- 50% of tactical squad 2 still PiP

I MUST get this done by the end of sunday so please nag the hell out of me so I can get it done in time..

Thought I`d show you all how I paint green skin. The "formula" for my version of green skin has been developed over many years. First I started with the traditional:
- black basecoat
- dark angels green
- goblin green

Then I advanced a bit more onto this version:
- black basecoat
- layer on snot green
- layer on goblin green
- layer on diluted scorpion green

It wasn`t in fact until I started on da Kruncha Bunch that I decided to up the ante so to speak. Here`s how I do it in 5 easy stages:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/greenskinmanual.jpg
Stage 1 - Basecoat
White, it`s simply brilliant! It`s the only basecoat I use these days.
Stage 2 - Inking
The reason for inking is simple, crevasses...it really doesn`t matter if you ink it all in just one colour but I like to divide it up at least into black & brown. This is to help "map" out the model so it`s easier to paint.
Stage 3 - Snot green
I paint snot green over all skin areas incl crevasses. You don`t want the crevasses to be to dark when the end result is a fairly bright shade of green.
Stage 4 - Goblin green
Hideous colour really, but it is essential to achieve the end result. Layer it on but leave snot green in the crevasses!
Stage 5 - Scorpion green
Important!! Dilute it, then when you apply it remember that less is more. It`s better to go back and apply another layer if you want it brighter. It`s this stage that requires the most training to get right BUT it will make the end result so much sweeter :)

That`s about it, only detailing like eyes and teeth left as well as the rest of the mini. If there`s any interest I can make similar manuals for the rest of him as well.

R

PS: this is by far da BEST BB figure GW has released, period! You can find it well hidden here: http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=9947099905515&orignav=300808

R

Red Skullz
08-07-2007, 19:58
Part II of the "manuals", now I`ve done the next stage I do and it`s oddly enough detailing:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/greenskinmanualII.jpg
Only thing I`d like to add is that when I do the teeth and nails I take a small dot of bleached bone on my brush and then start at the tip and drag it towards the base. This way the brightest end is the end so to speak. Also make sure that you don`t use so much paint that you can`t see through it.

Next part is white :)

Been having some vacation and enjoying the fine weather we`ve had now these last weeks. So no modelling or painting lately...buuuut I`ve been stocking up though lol!

Some new sculpting tools and watereffects. I could`ve bought a larger kit with sculpting tools but I settled for the "small one". Hopefully it`ll bring my greenstuffing up a notch. The water effects will be used for some of my terrain features such as craters but I`m also gonna use it with the Orc Pirates mob I`m making for Mordheim.
I also bought some more paint, bases and spray but that`s not sooo interesting is it?

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/variousblisters1.jpg
Various blisters that I liked, quite pleased with the troll but I kinda feel he`s a bit small compared to my blorcs...ah well he`ll work out nicely I guess. The rest is primarily for my Red Krumpany and just for painting practice.

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/bombah1.jpg
1:72 scale plane, the owner of the hobby store let me take a look at the sprue and it`ll work perfectly as a mini bombah!

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/nostalgia.jpg
Nostalgia is sweet huh? When I saw this guy I just knew I had to buy him, poor sod was the only one left the hobby store had from the WHQ line. He`ll fit into a future project of some kind I reckon.

My first non GW mini buy, these minis are from Hasslefree and they are some true beauts! The two poledancers will be Bluddweiser Babes for BB, the rest will be a femme fatale WHQ outfit. I`ll base these on the Privateer Press bases. Can`t wait to get cracking on some humie skin lol

Not planned at all...but my regular hobby store had some of these lying around as a test on how people liked them...well I liked this one, can`t wait to assemble it and paint it :D If it`ll be a full scale warband...we`ll I`ll have to work my gaming group a bit first, nothing I haven`t done before lol

Me again. Well getting a ton of new stuff inspired me late last night so I got cracking on some building.

First up apotechary for da Kruncha Bunch and da Sneaky Runtz:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/staffapotechary.jpg
The strecher he`s on is the launching ramp for the Pulsa Rokkit, same with the grot with the toolbox. The "doc" is a vintage ork model but I`m not so sure what he really is. Quite happy with the entire montage, the injured player looks like he`s in pain/is angry, his pad and helmet is taken off and the grot has just arrived with the toolbox so they can fix him up lol

Secondly, the troll for da Kruncha Bunch (most likely will be used as a troll for da Sneaky Runtz but I might use the previous Stone Troll for them).
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/troll3.jpg
I added a Barry(scale model) just to show off his size. He`s just a tad shorter than the regular Stone Troll so he`ll look just fine. He`s also a better fit on a 25mm base than the stone troll I had. I`ll be adding another shoulder pad, some brass knuckles and most likely a helmet on him as well.

Finally here`s the assembled Centurion thus far:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/centurion2.jpg
Even with the Barry model his size isn`t properly portrayed here, he`s frikkin MASSIVE! I`ll defo get me some more Warmachine minis :D

Yeah I`m really happy with how my palette is turning out. Green skin, red, white, browns and yellow (after all them fists) I feel confident in. That`s why I need to get cracking on humie skin (Hasslefree ladies I bought) & blue (Warmachine mini I bought) to get those up to date. I`ve also always wanted to master black. I find it a very hard colour to highlight without using extreme highlightning...that`s why I tend to use a very bright colour palette on my minis.

Anyhoo, next up is the troll for da Kruncha Bunch, Re-Roll marker & Turn marker.

Nobbla Blackwart, star player available for Goblin Teams. He`s supposed to be armed with a chainsaw but I felt that a PK would be a lot more fitting + over the top looking :D

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/goblinnobbla2.jpg

If you remember I first used the WHQ squig as Fungus but after suddenly seeing the little gobbo from the doom diver & the stone from the stone thrower I knew I had to change it. The squig has been re-located into an assistant coach role :D
Ugroth is a quite simple mini really. Main body from the WHFB starter set, savage orc boar boy head & orK arms. Reason for him holding an orc head is A: da Kruncha Bunch don`t care much for failure and B: it fits snugly into his hand lol!

Thanks Catferret :)

Yupp Varag looks mean, but then he`s a pretty darned good player also. He`s almost like a blocker/blitzer hybrid, but with killing power and no ball handling skills.

The reason for me making all of the star players available to my two teams is that the goblins are kinda based on getting inducements while da Kruncha Bunch is still a very young team and therefore will need some heavy hitters to match up to the opposition. They`re moving up to group A and there the best teams are between 1.8 - 2.0 million in rating, dKB is only about 1.3 so it`ll be rough in the beginning of the season.

After that we`ll wait until the start of october before season 4 begins so it`ll be 40K & Necromunda mainly from now until then.

Thanks :D I try my best :) The "regular" stone troll for da Runtz is now primed, inked and ready for paint. I`ll paint him up in a scimilar scheme as the stone that Fungus the Loon drags (star player further back in this log). For the two journeymen I`ll be using some standard common goblins with helmets. Oh my...it`s been awhile..

Well I`ve bought the new ork codex and with it some newfound spark for modeling and painting again!

First I started with simplifying my nobs:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/nobz1.jpg
Grubdakka was a big shoota nob before, now it`s slugga & PK and taking over my Slugga Boyz Mob.
Skumsnik had a kombi-weapon before, now he`s a cheap but valuable asset for my Shoota Boyz Mob.
Grimskraga is my rd Boyz nob and got a slugga.

Second off is Zodslag my KFF mek.
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/bigmek1v1.jpg
He`s got himself a choppa and some mek`s tools (from the SM servitors). Hopefully he will see some action soon :D

Finally it`s my newest konversion, a Shokk Attack Gun wielding Big Mek:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/bigmek2v1.jpg
I`m continuing my trend of using primarily plastic boyz for the big guyz, a lot cheaper and opens up for some interesting conversion. Still got some work left on this one but so far I`m happy with him.

Also in the making are more grotz, shoota boyz, slugga boyz and even some Killa Kans!

I mentioned yesterday that I was working on some Killa Kans, here`s my WiP big shoota armed kan:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/killakan1v1.jpg

Still needs plates, riveting, etc but it`s off to a nice start I think. Not so sure on the feet yet...I think I`ll be scratch building those as well to make them fit in better with the rest of the model.
Oh and the big shoota is magnetized so I can switch weapons in him, I`ll be doing this on the rest of the kans as well.

R

Red Skullz
05-01-2008, 23:22
Done some more detailing on the kan as can be seen here:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/killakan1v2.jpg

Added more plates, rivets and some tubing. Changed the feet as well since I didn`t fancy the previous ones that much...I know he`s got a bit more of a stumped look now but I wanted him to be a tad lower and you can see the joints for the legs still.

I do need to address the big shoota as it doesn`t look proper imo, also a bit annoyed by the empty area on the front, on the buzzsaw side and on the right side of the box on his back.

Ideas on how to improve those things and the overall design (design in lack of a better word)? Just more plating, tubing and perhaps some gun holes?

R

Red Skullz

Started on the second kan as I ponder on how to redo the big shootas into something I like:

More happy with this one, mostly due to the legs and that his back turned out quite nice.

I`ve now assembled the third kan and now it`s more or less plating, riveting, tubing and last minute detailing before I`m priming the kans.
Also assembled the 7 shoota boyz and last big shoota for my Shoota Boyz Mob, last boy for the Slugga Boyz Mob, added boss poles to the three nobs and started on a 7 man strong Loota Boyz Mob that will accompany the SAG Big Mek.
Oh and I`ve started on the grabba sticks for the two runtherds. Cam is charging so I`ll post up some pics when it`s ready :)

R

Played a game yesterday against DA (which I won!) so didn`t get to upload any new pics...well anyways here`s todays update.

Killa Kan. In the end I just did the big shootas just like I`ve done on my big shoota armed boys, only I`ve magnetised the kans so that I can swap when I want to:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/killakan1v3.jpg
The third kan is built but is in such a rough state still that he`s not much to show off...hopefully an update on the kans tomorrow.

Lootas. These are 4 out of 7 lootas I`ll be using for starters, they follow my SAG armed Big Mek.
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lootas1.jpg
Still needs to be finetuned a lot. More detailing, etc...
Their backpacks are from the kommandos. I didn`t find a place for kommandos with my army so I put them to use here. I think that their backpacks display what lootas are all about, finding and collecting random stuff.

Yet another addition to the army, just don`t seem to be able to finish something off before starting on the next one....

Anyhoo, here`s a looted wagon w/boomgun for my boyz:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lootedvehicle2.jpg
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lootedvehicle1.jpg

For those who`s been following my thread for a while you might remember my battlewagon WiP. Well I thought that basing a battlewagon was a bit puny so I stripped it down and started all over aiming for the looted wagon. I know a lot of people think it`s a waste with one but it fits my theme and will come in handy I gather. At least for blocking LOS lol!

My main concern now is making some weapon mounts for big shootas or rokkits somewhere on it. I`ll use magnets so I can swap them so I`ll build mounts for easy swapping.

talast,

Red Skullz
13-01-2008, 21:44
Spent ages trying to figure out how and where I wanted my big shootas/rokkits on the wagon...after taking a look on my buggies (can be found some pages back) I figured that mounting them on the front would look nice as well as cover that area with "something".
Here`s the result so far:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lootedvehicle3.jpg
Already done a lot of riveting, added another cable to the boomgun and some periscopes for the gunners.

Here`s a closer look on the gun boxes:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lootedvehicle3-1.jpg
Magnetized them so that I can swap between big shootas and rokkits, as well as taking them of entirely.

Don`t think I`ll be able to do a lot more on the looted wagon before I get the new ork trukk. Need some parts from it, like exhaust and some other tidbits.

Didn`t receive the package this week as I`d hoped for, had me that flashy new trukk and the new boyz sprues ordered...

So I`ve been reading through various threads trying to figure out what chassis I`ll base my battle wagon on. As I browsed through stuff I came upon some threads on fighta bommers and deffkoptas. Being a bit early for a fighta bomma I settled on making a deffkopta based as a mini-fighta bomma. Which was nice as I had a 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf-109. But that plane is really small even if the wingspan works well for what I have in mind. So going through my bitz & pieces I found a turret from a leman russ which fitted perfectly with the wings as well as the turret from a chimera that fits snugly on top of the LR turret giving it an armoured and proppa look!
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/deffkopta1.jpg

As you can see I`ve only used the wings, tail and front section of the plane. The rest of the main body is the turrets, the engine is something I built ages back when I was working on my buggies. The engine does look a bit big but I think it fits nicely in there, zooming over the battlefield :D
The TL Big Shootas on the roof are magnetised so that I can swap them easily. Next step will be more plating, greenstuff welds and riveting. I`m also planning on using the chainsword/choppas as rotors. Other than that I`ll magnetise the hollows in the wings meant for the landing gear so that I can add the buzzsaw or big bomm upgrade.

Ideas and comments are welcome!

Been busy at work this week so haven`t been able to do anything special. I did receive the new ork trukk and with it managed to get my boomgun looted wagon finished.
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/lootedvehicle4.jpg

Obviously not finished as in painted and all but now it`s only moldlines and fixing some minor stuff on it before I varnish. Quite like the look it got in the end, really like the exhaust which turned out just like I wanted it to.
Also as you can see on the pic I put some magnets underneath it so that I know where I got my rokkits if I ever need them.

C&C if ya feel like it :)

Been hectic at work and I played a game (5-0 so far :D ) instead of modeling so there ya have the reason for the late update..

First up is a new and improved Shokk Attack Gun wielding Big Mek:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/bigmekSAG1.jpg
Changed the suction-thingy with a thicker one, made some gs bands with rivets on them as well. Not my best gs work but it`ll all turn out fine enough when I`ve painted him. I actually think it`s only moldlines left on him.

Second (and final) for today is a Weirdboy/Warphead:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/weirdboywip2.jpg
I originally made a weirdboy straight from the new ork sprues, using the nob body, one-eyed head and made a crappy staff out of the big choppa. The thought was that he`d been picked up from some backwater planet and taken with the Krumpany due to his usefullness. Well...he did not impress me in my first battle with him in my last game. Only managed to roll 1s and 2s even with the Warphead upgrade (RR result). Also he looked rather boring and didn`t fit to well in the Krumpany. Soooo, I high-teched him up properly - orky style :D
Still need to neaten things and gs here and there but the basic model looks propah now and I`ll actually give him another chance!

C&C if ya feel like ya wanna give some.

Here`s my WiP "Deff-Senti" pattern deffdread:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/deffdread1.jpg
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/deffdread2.jpg

I use two skorchas on it, they are of course magnetized so that I can remove them or change them with something else.
The main body is made out of a drinking-cap for dogs that you can use with normal bottles. I just sawed off the top part of it. Other than that you have:
- vintage deffdread top hatch
- wrecking ball from new trukk
- sentinel legs
- fuel barrel from the CoD sprues
- half of a pulsa rokkit for the lower part of the engine
- CSM dread exhaust/engine for the top part of the engine

Think that`s about it. Since the pics where taken I`ve added a glyph plate on the right arm, greenstuffed the gaps on the wrecking ball and removed moldlines. He`s now been basecoated and I just need to wait some hours before I start to paint him.

Wow great stuff redskull, the Deff Sentials legs seem a bit weedy, however your Shokk Mek is brilliant, exciting stuff from you Ork warcamp. Might need to loot it,

Edit: I've been lookin through the thread some more, and your killa kans seem a bit... like walking boilers. its cool, but you might wanna try Squaring them up like the current sential models, get a bit more of that scrap and bash feel with 'em

Hehe, I probably should but I started on the BW instead...

I`m hoping I have something to show in an hour or two :D

R

Red Skullz
14-02-2008, 13:06
I started yesterday on the "ruzzbot" styled battlewagon. I`m using a chimera body as basis and I`ve built up a frame to support the body. While that was drying off I started on the head which is shown underneath:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/battlewagon1.jpg

Still a ton to do on this but I need more kits now since I`m more or less out of everything usefull, including plasticard.
I`m thinking on getting the following:
- defiler, for arms - also as a bitz store for future builds
- demolisher, for guns - also for essential bitz in any mek shop!
- is there any other kit that would be handy for me? I don`t like the MEQ armour since it`s so little extras with them..but is there any other "gems" out there?

While the head and the body was drying (I really hate that cement glue..) I started on my KFF big mek. The old one didn`t quite fit in with the rest of the krumpany so I needed to address that since the KFF mek is a central part of all of my lists. Here`s the result:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/bigmekmulti1.jpg

Both arms are magnetized so I still need to build a choppa arm, kustom blasta and a new KFF. He also needs a lot more wires :D Btw...with this guy and the new weirdboy I made I`m really feeling that the SAG mek needs some more work (doh!).

Oh and can someone give a parts breakdown on my dread-look-a-like multi-mek?

R

Red Skullz
14-02-2008, 21:00
Done a bit more work on the "multi" mek:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/bigmekmulti2.jpg
Made a new KFF for him (I need the vintage SAG body for something else), added two trimmed nob axes as engines for the legs and for the KFF.
Pretty pleased with him so I don`t think I need to do anything more one him besides making those last two arms but I`m probably only use a PK on him anyways lol

Btw, no one has tried guessing what parts he`s made out of ;)

I forgot to mention the parts involved making him, in case ya wanted to loot some of the ideas:
Head:
Headlamp from new trukk sprues, jawplate from new ork sprues
Torso:
Sentinel axle, that thing the hut is mounted on. The arms on the mek is where the legs on the sentinel are attached. The round mount that goes on the sentinel hut fits snugly with the ork lower body.
The skull is supposed to be on the radiator on the new trukk.
Left arm - power klaw:
Power klaw from the vintage Bad Moon special character, Nazdreg something. Luvverly part that I`ve never figured out where I could use before now.
Right arm - mek`s tools:
From a Techmarine servitor.
Back:
Vintage SAG gun nozzle. I cut off two of the arms, only used one of them and repositioned it closer. The engine that powers the KFF is a trimmed down axe from the metal nobs.
Lower body:
From the old ork sprues.
The hydraulics on the legs are made out of orc spears and metal wire. The caps on the knees are from the sentinel. The engine that powers the leg hydraulics is a trimmed down axe from the metal nobs.
- Random bitz:
From sprues, various weapons, etc.

I`ll start with reminding ya`ll that I`m all out of dullcoat ;)

Here`s the weirdboy all done:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/weirdboyFIN.jpg
The thought behind the mini is that the cable from the head to the backpack amplifies his psychic powers. They are then distributed into the left arm which is the punchy one, and the right one which is the shooty one. Hence the attempt at the crackling green energy colour on the fist like I`ve done on the orbs. The brass cylinders on each arm is for storing and stabilizing the energies.
His gut plate is where he manually sets the power outlet.

I think that`s it :)

Sorry for the late update but I`ve been away. While I was away I managed to get hold of the new ork bikers and a defiler kit. The defiler will help me with getting the last main parts on the battlewagon done. I also must say that the defiler kit has a ton of goodies besides the arms and legs!

Okey but on the biker kit. I decided to make a deff kopta squadron instead of a biker mob. I must say it was intimidating copping that great kit so I used a lot of time trying to get things right so that I didn`t mess up and ruin it.
I wanted mine to look like orky jetbikes, fairly slim and all but orky in design nonetheless. I can`t for the life of me see the speed in the "standard" kopta design compared to jetbikes. I based mine on them using a rocket to power it, equipped them with TL rokkits. I will also have the option of Big Bomm and Buzzsaw on all koptas, these will me magnetized.

Well about time for a pic eh ;)
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/deffkopta2.jpg

Still needs riveting, detailing on the wings and fin, bitz & bobs and the magnetized options. I do fell that the main construction is more or less spot on though but feel free to c&c :)

R

Red Skullz
26-02-2008, 22:47
Here`s todays update:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z199/tomkristianse/deffkopta3.jpg

Did the detailing on the wing and tail area. Added some support beams under the wings. Done all of the greenstuffing on it, will add rivets to all of them when they`re dry. Also added "what`s it called" on each side that takes care of the directional thrust. You can see it right behind the feet on both sides of the bike.

I`ll be mounting my koptas on 40mm bases, we play CoD only so they need to be able to stand firmly on elevated floors.

C&C please :)

On the bottom shelf however it`s a bit more work but mainly it`s the metals doing that red effect on the metal like I`ve done on all of the newer stuff. Should be able to do a mob a day when I first get started on them. Of course that does not include the stormboyz (which are 8 short, needs to be assembled), and the lootas which are due for a major overhaul.

I just couldn`t wait any longer with the deffkoptas all done so I started working seriously on the stompa/ruzzbot battlewagon:

Mind this is very early on in the build. I`m now just trying to get the frame and general build right before I start with the massive job of detailing.
Some notes of interest:
- troop (dis)embarking. There will be a door in the rear, a door on each side and a ramp at the lower level on the front.
- the mid front section will be where the driver sits
- all weaponry/vehicle upgrades are/will be magnetised
- I think I`m over my head here with this buld, I want it to look good...!
