Hi,
I'm a long time player of 40K and BFG and was always more interested in the fluff behind the game than in playing balanced games itself. I never ever do tournament and always think of 'special' scenario's for all the games I play (posses the ork warlord, drop pod assault, hunt the battleship etc) and so I think Inquisitor might be a game for me (and my mates of course)
This said, I still have my first game to play. Mainly because I just can't find the time to create a satisfying story, create characters with enough debt and learn the rules at the same time. I think the last one will be challenging enough really :p So does anybody know of a site or something were fleshed out background stories are published (together maybe with character sheets for al characters concerned) that can be used directly?
thx

Hmmmmm, The conclave?

(You can find a link in the specialist-games site, you click on forums and you'll find a link)

you should really learn how to play before you try to make your own characters. that way you kind of get an idea of what does what when. you should never make a character that is power twinked to kill, but it sucks to have what you thouhgt was a cool weapon and it turns out useless because you were inexperienced when you added it.

and sources for characters, background stories and the like.... hmm... lat me think.....

oh yeah, that nice big book that you have to buy/downlaod and print out anyway.... damn, what was the name of it....

I just can't find the time to create a satisfying story, create characters with enough debt and learn the rules at the same time.

No one ever said you have to do all of them at once. I began learning the rules using three 40k models, a coffee table and some piles of books. Yes, (stop sniggering at the back!) I played with myself.

Those early games began to form the germ of several character/plot ideas that began to evolve into both the background of several of my characters as well as a subsequent campaign.

Finding other players is always a challenge, but if you can't persuade anyone at your regular gaming venue to play then, if you're in the UK, why not come along to one of the semi-regular meet-ups at Warhammer World, where we play out a whole campaign over one day and several tables?
