So in the name of creativity and inventiveness here's my new project. This one's influenced by movies such as 28 Days Later, Land/Dawn/Day of the Dead, Mad Max trilogy, Resident Evil, and PC games Pool of Radiance, Secret of the Silverblades, Fallout 2. You can see where I'm going with this can't you!

So this thread's all about a planet fought over for years, taken over by nurgle marines, 'cleansed' with orbital strikes and left for dead. Many, many years had passed, life was coming back in different forms (plant and life that is) and the C.O.U.P. (Confederacy Of United Planets) needed a place to 'store' their unwanted. Bring on the penal colonies!

So G.O.D.S (Global Orbiting Defense Systems) was created with 'orders' to bring down anything attempting to leave or any thing around the orbit. Due to fears of another plague outbreak it was deemed nothing could leave the planet.

Even after all the wars and the bombardment, alot of riches still exist in various forms on the planet. So various factions, guilds, even certain members of the Council send down retrieval specialists to procure these valuable goods. Of these, not more than 5% make it off planet with only 1% leaving with anything of value.

So a blasted wasteland with ruined cities, plague zombies (the buggers allways seem to be around), mutated animals, hardened criminals, not so hardened criminals, and crashed spacers. Take me there!!

So that's the rundown, or at least gives you all an idea on what I'm trying to do. This isn't an army thread, but more of a sci-fi thread for characters, villians, things, and inhabitants for this setting. I'll be using these models in a Necromunda style of game with a distinctive story line and will be making these models as I need them and show you as I go.

So without further ado, let's get this show on the road!!

Ross
13-05-2007, 05:57
Well everyone needs some villians. These guys are the herders, the cruise around in the Meat Wagon 'collecting' from the wastes to be taken back to their encampment outside Bunker 29. A tithe of goods found goes to the Doc while they keep/trade what's left. Now the dark side of the Herders, is their production of a common food stuff. They produce a pie with a jerky type casing that they trade to the town inhabitants of Bunker 29 and Sandy Grave called 'meaties'. From all reports, you don't want to know how or where they get the meat from.

The boys with clubs and knives, WIP:
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/HerdersCCW.jpg
The boys with old shotguns, WIP:
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/HerdersShot.jpg

Now I've really tried to get the lack of resources across with these, missmatched boots, mixed parts ect. I went with hankies across the faces cause it makes sense for what they do, and for theme, and so I could use the same heads for something else later.

Any tips?

haha, this is awesome, and some rather characterful conversions

The planet isnt named necromorka... or gorkamunda by any chance? :P
Just kidding, sound like a perfect amalgam of all the references you pointed out.
especially love the 'meaties' idea, its eat or be eaten in the 41st millenium afterall....

aside from your awsome hordes of wastelanders, what sort of rules are you planning on using for this game?

Ross
13-05-2007, 06:22
Thanks Dugaal, I downloaded all the Necromunda stuff I could, we thought as this was a model driven game we would try to use a model driven set of rules. We're familiar with Mordhiem(sp?) so the Necro rules aren't that much different.
Toying with the idea to change some of the rules like those from Firebase3 magazine.

dugaal
13-05-2007, 06:37
yeap, well necromunda was essentially 2nd ed rules, with the flesh wound/down thing added to keep models in the game.
In addition to territories, and the 'working the territory' rules... you could add mission specific incentives to battles; perhaps raiding opposing 'gangs' territories for slaves limits the between-game resources of that gang (if you get away with any of their pesantry of course)

Then again me and my friends tried adding more territory rules to necro and made it overly complicated, so balancing the non-combat stuff is key.

Also, depending on the number of models you plan on making, it would be interesting to meet necro and 40k halfway. dont have unique stats for every model, but have some core special characters, and a way to determine the number of extra raiders to throw around in a battle. might better represent larger camps rather than small gangs

wow, i just wrote all that ^^?

Ross
13-05-2007, 06:54
Nice idea's there, I hadn't thought about the territories side of things, it will depend on the players. It was, so I had planned so far, to be more like a D&D game, loot the dead, trade, but it will depend on if any want to be megalomaniacs I guess :)

I wanted to do about 10 grunt models for each 'faction/style' and then a story line hero/villian/anti-hero model for the 'finisher.' As we play the Herders will double as bandits for example, then in a 'save the dude from hordes of zombies' mission, one Herder will be the target ect.

I was hoping to be able to add the Wasteland models to exsisting armies, ie the cleaner ones to IG, the more feral/nasty ones to LotD. That way I can justify spending great heaps of money cutting and pasting, removing perfectly good detail and trying to make acceptable details ;)

thats some good background youve written

This sounds great. Plenty of room for cool characters, conversions, background, etc. I'd always hoped someone would make a log like this, so consider me subscribed.

I don't mean to jump the gun, but is this an inclusive log, i.e., may we contribute ideas, models, and so on? If so, I'd love to help...

Nice conversions btw, that's a clever way of making shotguns.

Ross

Morning lads.

@monkey child- "Damn dirty ape" (I've always wanted to write that :) ) hopefully I can make it look as good as it sounds!!

@Iron Duke- Thanks champ, I'll take any sugestions you've got!! This project has alot of written stuff on the background (a school text book worth!) but additions are ALWAYS welcome! As long as the models fit in the Wasteland, bring them on!

One note though. If anyone wants to put your conversions up on here go for it. But ..... they must be sensible, creative, fit in the wasteland (with a bit of a blurb), and absolutly no Space Marines. For the most part, this thread will be about Bunker Town and Sandy Grave and their inhabitants. There's the rest of the planet to explore in time!

Ross.

Bunker town and sandy grave; nice veiled fallout refs; (btw, you hear that Bethesda picked up the IP and are making number 3?)

This project sounds ripe for vehicle conversions too. You shoud try and snag some ork buggies cheap on ebay for conversions, mad max style (check Makaber's log (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83471) for some nice buggies)

I might have some chaosy mutant pics in the next few days that could fit with the theme, Chaos is everywhere afterall....

Yays for Fallout!

I was sorely tempted to make a Brotherhood of Steel themed marine army. I kind of did, actually, I suppose. Had to change the colour scheme, though, as the scouts looked a bit too Imperial Fisty. Anyway, post-apocalyptic wastelands and unsettling foodstuffs all the way: Subscribed!

Ross
13-05-2007, 23:22
Dugaal, I meant to put a "The names have changed but the places are the same" warning at the start :) lol I wrote 'Bunker Town' but meant Bunker 29, that'll teach me for thinking of Fallout and typing about something else. lol

I had heard a while ago that some one picked up the 3rd one but was under the impression they weren't going to do anything with it (that's the rumor I'd heard)

Mad Max, hell yeah, last night I started working on the Meat Wagon, got the 'frame' done, so will be filling the back tray soon with barrels of roadkill and hanging meat cleavers etc.

Thanks Coasty, welcome aboard!

Now this seems VERY interesting Ross, ya should`ve mentioned it to me that you where doing this earlier :)

Are you gonna add vehicles to this mix? I would guess fuel will also be an issue there but that`s covered in Gorkamorka probably (or I think it does).

Also this could be a great place to use a gang from Necromunda, the Ash Waste Nomads ;)

Keep it up :D

:o When I said on your thread that you'd inspired me, I then ran off to start this!! Some vehicles, would love to do bikes, that'd be so damn cool.
The AWN? I haven't come across the download for that one, I'll have to hunt around

Thanks Imp, it's just the beginning. Hopefully my GS skills will pick up as I go along, then we'll see some top-notch models!

Don`t know anywhere else than e-bay regarding the gorkamorka rules but that ruleset should cover your need for vehicle rules (please if someone actually knows IF it does say so!).

<cue AC/DC "Back in Black">
Hi-de-ho, a flurry of painting tonight and here's the result.
Now I wanted a dark leather non-coloured theme here with these guys (Herders), it really shows up the crusted and fresh blood. You can see the quilted torso on the far right, I couldn't resist painting it in greens, a throw-back to my squats lol

http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/Herders002.jpg

You can see the use of the zombie foot on the middle and right models, a lasts minute decision that I think pays for it's self. The foot comes from the arm wielding the severed leg by the way.

http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/Herders004.jpg

Cool, so two more, the shotgunners, to do then it's time for some more cutting and creativity.

Ross
16-05-2007, 12:40
Finished the two shotgun wielding Herders. I have reservations about these as part of the Herders, they don't have the 'look' I think. Granted they're painted the same, but they look too bandit-ish not the bottom of the sludge pile human waste, scavengers that I want. Maybe it's just the guns, I'm thinking pistols (las, auto, needle) and dirty big Mick Dundee skinning knives should be the go.

Regardless, here's two more ferals for the wastes:

Thanks Titan136, I know there's Fallout RPG rules and miniatures out there, but it's more fun building your own models. Gotta love plastic kits!

Does anyone have sugestions for some "1st level" bad guys/creatures? You know how you fight rats, scorpions, goblins etc at first few levels in most RPG's. What would be some good stuff for early characters to fight in a Necromunda style game with a Fallout twist?

Those look cool, Ross. The shotgun guy with the red hat looks like he's about to go off bird hunting for some reason. The other guys look good too, although the blood stains on guy with the tam o'shanter all seem to be concentrated around his crotch (makes one wonder just what sort of "meat" these herders are collecting :chrome:)

For first level enemies, mutant rats and other beasties might work, or maybe some poorly armed bandits with 0 morale/terrible eyesight or something.

If you don't mind, I think I'll jump on the wagon and start knocking up some wasteland guys of my own. That ok?

Excellent work mate, I can picture them fellows chasing people in blue boiler suits, screaming " gonna get me some city boy". Maybe For lower level baddies you could get some tribal or cannibals to knock around. Who can forget the fun of working for the slavers:D

I've got some daemonettes coming in the post sometime next week, I'm going to do some tribal chicks. Fur boots (masks the claw feet), skull helmet (masks the demon head), backpack (masks the snake hair), then add spears and pistols where appropriate.
I'd like to make some ghouls as opposed to zombies. But if I do zombies, then the ghouls would look too similar IMO.

"Not tonight dear, I have a headache"
Been busting for a promotion at work this week, so am buggered tonight. Sat in the shed for half an hour and froze my **** of. I did get some work done on the Meat Wagon. I wanted an ambulance, with the Herders as horror movie orderlies, but as you see from the Herders, my plans have changed. So the Wagon is now a truck, made from an Easter Egg hauling toy truck that my son graciously broke for me. Anyway, here's the frosty shed and the WIP Wagon, I'm off to get some TLC!!

Cheers jase. I wasn't sure on it at first, but now I think I'll make some gun half tracks with the frame for my nurgle hunting IG. The models have a german feel, so the truck should fit quite nicely.

Thanks lil' monkey, using the decoy tanker from Mad Max2 as a little reference, so I'll do 'tin sheets' covering the wheels. I don't want this one to be too 'combat effective' so I'm only going to do a little bit too it. The catch for this one will be on the tray, I'll have barrels of roadkill, chests of meat, a hanging rack of ribs and a tool chest of cleavers. Mmmmmmm whens dinner?

Loving the ideas in this thread. The idea of the hearders reminds me of one of the Ravenor books. There's a planet full of millitant hearders who heard dinoraurs and other large creatures. Their leaders sport antlers and horns.

I'll have a quick look for 'em Red, in the Firebase 3rd issue, there was some black 'interceptor' looking cars of about the right scale. Eeeeep double post!!

Here's tonights update. Two more Herders with laspistol and ccw (the one with two ccw has a holstered pistol). I'm thinking this might do the Herders for the moment. When I originaly RPG'd the Wasteland game (2year ago) I had the PC's join with the Herders to do a few jobs, just an excuse to get them zombie hunting :) Back then there was only 3 in the truck, currently there's 7, so that should be enough for a truckload, or encampment.
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/HerdersX2More.jpg

<Drum roll please>
Ladies and gentlemen, boy's and girls, let me introduce you too the rogue of the wasteland, the gentlemans gentleman, the dashing, the daring....

Hurtz Yadonit!!!!

http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/HurtzYadonit.jpg

"Dumped into the wastes after amassing huge gambling debts and trying to rectify them with a stolen Leman Russ, Hurtz has used his sharp smarts to survive encounter after encounter. It also helps that he was one of the Confederates Black Rangers comando's. Despite his generaly honourable demeanor, he's always ready to throw his companions into the prize pool if he thinks he's got a good hand."

So there you go, the first character of the thread! I'd started him as a Herder, but you all know when a models screams out to you that he should be more than you had intended. Very simple but full of character IMO.

I build quite a few cowboy buildings from foam card and balsa strips. They can be made to be ramshackle and rustic and would be the ideal building type for a herder "cow" town. They are REALLY easy to make and quick too.

:) These Herders are more zombie/roadkill herders, but as for buildings ... I was looking at your wild west pic the otherday and am eagerly awaiting your game/snapshots. What's the chances you could throw some on the Terrain thread with a quick walkthrough for us?

NOTE: has anyone realised that in Mad Max2, pretty much the only weapon used were x-bows? I might as well put the Empire Militia box together as is :D

Any one got an idea for a cool model to use as a female character? I want something cool and feminine! (Preferably with lots of flesh)

What about the GW Amazons (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99111199019&orignav=300808)? These would prolly make a good base for your Tribal Chicks too?

You could also try:
>Fairly generic Middenheimer Youngblood (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=9947110202202&orignav=300808)
>A variety of all sorts of weirdoes from the Mordheim Villiagers (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99111102056&orignav=300808)

If you don't mind using other companies' models, Dark Age looks promising I think. Set in a weird post-apocalyptic world, there are lots of seriously oddball troops. I think you could try something from the Skarrd faction (http://www.dark-age.com/store/default.php?cPath=21) maybe?
Privateer's Warmachine could have a few items too. Perhaps Pirate Queen Skarre (http://www.privateerpress.com/WARMACHINE/gallery/default.php?level=picture&id=270)? This Khador Hunter (http://www.privateerpress.com/WARMACHINE/gallery/default.php?level=picture&id=330) might suit your Tribal Chicks too.

Anyway, your stuff looks great so far, and I can't wait to see the vehicle painted up nor indeed other factions as you come to model them!

Paint job's a little way off yet, I need to fill the tray (or at least the corners behind the cabin) with barrels of goo and bones and....

I had a look before at the amazon models but they look a bit static, great for rank and file but I wanted something a bit more dynamic. I'll have a look at the other links you've provided, but I like the stuff from Eureka. They're an Aussie company (I think) and they have some great female models, loooots of flesh. mmmmm flesh!

Remember all the pick up trucks in Mad Max 2? One had a multi barreled spear gun thing. Think it operated off compressed gas. It was kinda like a vicious blowpipe really. My point is, stick one of them on a truck and have a guy leaning over the side as he turns the gun to fire.

I haven't been able to find good vehicles yet - but I've been looking for kits, not toys. There are a lot of tanks that would work, so I've been thinking about doing a few 'tank girl' style gangs and have at it ...

But your stuff is really excellent, I've been lurking this thread since you started it. The corrugated iron on that rig is a solid idea indeed. Best of luck with the mayhem, maybe I'll have a few tankers show up in here sometime ...

Ideas for the little cars.

wrecked car, all rusted up and perfect for using as cover in games, or representing a destroyed vehicle.

one painted up to look like the general lee. (classic and would be great to see)

mesh window screens, huge blower style engines, and of course, consider adding wonderful brush cutter blades to the front for the rough terrain... or running down zombies of course!

would also be nice to see kill markers on the doors of the vehicles. like three enemy tanks, two artillery pieces and a turkey.

would love to know the name of the shop you got the cars from. Might have to go see if I can scrounge some up for my orks. If it is a 'reject shop' it is pretty much pot luck if you find something there as each of them get shipped things on consignment.

The model you used was an old buick right?

a little wikipedia search reveals:

"The Chrysalis Highwayman is modeled after a gas turbine engine series of cars that Chrysler produced starting in the 1950s."

i don't know if the car models had a specific model number or name though...

I'm pretty sure its one of the 1956 Chrysler's though:

Yeah I've always wondered about mince from watching 'Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels' but never really got it. :eyebrows: (PM me for the adult version/explanation)

The not so clean blood could be put down too, tin bitz, chestnut ink, bestial brown, vermin brown. I kinda came across it when painting Khorne Bezerkers, that and a magenta and chestnut ink mix. (yes I use GW paints <dodges hurled objects> )

Really looking forward to that biker! I'm so tempted to start making some wastelander stuff too. If I could find the time between work, Deathwing and Ogres...

Try PMing Weregerbil (http://www.warseer.com/forums/member.php?u=15301). He has tonnes of plastic Dark Eldar bits. He may be willing to part with them. Maybe the zombie bits too.

Hahaha funny you should mention that. :D
I just finished these two, the last of the Herders. Well 'just' being I've had time for a smoke and a coffee and upload them into Photobucket!! I sorta muffed up the mask on the one on the left but was only during the painting that I noticed. Oh well, them's the brakes.
Enjoy.

Mwahahahaha <cue evil music>

Gents ..... I give you the ass end of the wagon (oh and the front again). Thanks to DigitsDavid the wagon now has a No. plate. At first I thought it was cool for a butchers truck, then SC gave me the hidden meaning and now I think it's just bloody funny!!!!! Oh the lettering's crap but my thoughts were someone was trying to write it while driving through a field of zombies!!
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/MWNoPlate.jpg

Ok, so while I was doing this bit my missus said she was sitting behind me watching me go off. She says everytime I moved (I was flicking my 'blood' ink mix at the time) I giggled like a maniac from a B-grade horror. Again it's all darker IRL (and I fiddled with the camera for 15min).
Now you'll see why.......

the ogre knife is mint :D

i think if i was flicking blood around a 28mm scale truck i'd be having fun, i'd be working out the angles of where people would be and where legs would come off and stuff.

then write words into the wet blood on the wall...like "help" or "what a mess" etc.

Just updating before winding down for the night. I found these in my fantasy D&D models box while looking for female models that are easy to convert. I'm not sure when I got them but I think it was in the vicinity of 6 years ago, hence the paint job. Perfect for the wastes, very mad max!
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/Juves.jpg

Now here's some WIP and a query for ya's.
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/WIPx3.jpg
The on on the left is the Prospector, a sort of helper monkey for the PC's. I've been toying around with weapons/arms for him. Because of the duster/trenchcoat he sort of looks cool with a shotgun, or six shooters. I plan on giving him his pick and maybe a waterbottle, or pistol, or metal detector, in which case I'll put a rifle in a holster alongside his backpack which is slowly being made.
Middle is the female tribal with skull helmet and in progress AK-40k, I'll add a shoulder strap to the gun hanging down over the 'dodgey' bits. I'm also going to add feathers to her hair.
The last one is a barbarian from the Reaper range purchased for D&D many moons ago. I was wondering if any has any ideas on how I can make her a bit more Wastelanderish.

Bring on the C&C ....... Please .....

Catferret
29-05-2007, 14:17
For the AK-40k, I would swap the position of the barrel and support strut round. Have the barrel underneath the other bit. It'll be more like an AK then.

Yeah there's something about her, and I don't think it's just because she has a boob hanging out:D I was toying with the idea of a spear like the Fallout2 tribals, but unless I'm really creative there going to look like fantasy models.
<waiting for your pic Duke>

Hmm, the barbarian could use a belt or two of ammo across the chest and a nice big gun of some sort. The prospector is my favorite so far, though the tribal female comes in a close second.

I love the Prospector, such a noble head, and done to death too!! As for the Reaper barbarian, where to stick the gun? I've got some Necro weapons coming from US soon, so pump shotguns and the like, but wondering on how to pose the arms with weapons.

Thanks Konig, it's a hard model to mask but I'm stoked with how it came out (so's the missus which I think's the main thing :) ). The mask I think is the clincher, that and the feet change.

Hey lads, I need some help here! Been GSing tonight (and last night for that matter) and I've almost completed the Traders Guard. I've finished the trader and done a little to the tribal but the broken foot has held me up.

Any way, my problem is, the traders guard as you can see look a little 'light' around the legs and waist, I'm not real keen on adding pouches to the waist (plus I sent them all to a mate :) ) but I was thinking of doing knee pads or cricket shin guards. I don't know so I tought one of you creative geniuses could sugest something!! :)

Just to prove I haven't spent the whole night spamming Jase's log here's the upto date WIP of the trader and his pair. Had to wait for the ink to dry (had to use white undercaot so I needed to darken the paints down) so the look very glossy :)

@ Jase - You love it

Well, blog time, mowed the lawn this morning as the bugger had grown up past the top of the lawnmower, amazing what rain does!! Than my mate came around as he wanted to see what his guard could do against orks. 1000pts, I lost 22 orks, he lost his whole army!! Now he knows :cheese:

Couldn't be stuffed painting (far, far too much coffee and cigarettes) so I sat down and watched 8 episodes of Samurai Champloo whilst working on this little fella :
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/crawler002.jpg

So I ran out of places to hold him so I've got one leg/arm/apendage to go, they will have claws added once based as it will be just easier that way. The lower half will be snake like with the same plate scales. I don't know what cheesey game I saw something like this in, but full credits to whatever it was

The body is an old ork torso, the arms are reversed (ie, elbows to the front) and also from the orks, the tusks are from the zombie sprue pitchfork. The rest is GS, swearing, and patience!!

C&C anyone?

Can anyone say first turn assault and ha ha you've deployed too tight, and I can make 3 5+ force field saves. We played a Clense mission, he threw stormtroopers right up to the front line as close as he could, I had trukk boys sitting as close as I could (no I wasn't just gambling on first turn, I was baiting the lighter heavy weapons), zoomed 13" then deployed from the trukk 2" charged in a straight line 6"
Though 'man' of the match was the trukk that took a direct penetrating hit from a Russ and then drove off 2 rounds later. Mind you the hit took out 9 of the trukk boys that had just deployed, meh, small victories :)

Thanks Digits, they'll be better once fully painted, but even the base coats bring the GS to life :) Hmmm Armadillo, I was thinking of a Snakadillo.

As for the little cars - try modifying one with treads, instead of wheels - it should look very postapocalyptish ;)

I'll chime in!

The traders look good, the red definitely livens them up more.

As for your armadillo thingy...have you considered making it a golden gecko? ;)

You did mention fallout 2 after all, and I hear they got a real nasty bite. Nice gs work!

Ross

Yeah they didn't come up too bad, though the goggles are complete and utter crap!! Few other bit's and pieces to touch up on them too, damn my feeble ageing eyes :)

The Snakeadillo will have a serpent lower half and will sit close to the ground. I think it was the old Chaos Engine game that had one like it, but it had one huge eye. It'd be too big for a gecko, so would the lizard man guys (Skinks?)so I'm still at a loss.

Ross
10-06-2007, 11:53
Me again (bet ya didn't expect that), fixed the guards and did the trader. Really wanted the nose ring head but I've done something wrong with it and the ring looks funny. Oh well, he'll probably only hit the table twice :) Oh and I rimmed the base (after posting the pic) as it was messy from painting the base.

http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w46/Rosst_bucket/TraderGuards001.jpg

So now to work on the snakeadillo thing and I've got 2 more disks of Samurai Champloo to go. I glued the green fella to his base (medium base whatever mm that is) and I think I've made another mistake? He might be angled too upright, maybe, bah, that's what GS is for :(

Ross

GS frenzy tonight, finished the tribal wielding the pole axe and the **** end of the snakeadillo. Looking at the plates on the critter I came to 2 conclusions, 1) the plates need to be chipped a little, and 2) I've done a rough count and ther's about 116 <damn>

I was hoping to recreate any models I GS for this project and I'm not entirely sure this one's all that easy to remake. Guess they will all be a little different.:D

Cheers, keep your eye's out, I should have plenty for you to advise me on. If you see something wrong TELL MEEEEE!!!
I've left their little botton noses, it makes for a better goggle set than when it's missing. I just have to take more care with the GS and not cover the nose.

Great to hear from you Red, you've been quiet around here for a few days!! Well it's a quiet Queens Birthday, I have to do the bases on the Choppy Wench and the Snakeadillo then it's the 'watching paint dry' process, so I'll do car for you :)

You need some giant doom weasels! Everybody loves weasels. Weasels like cornflakes, pie and cleavage. Tis true. PM Palatine Katinka (http://www.warseer.com/forums/member.php?u=17772) for an explanation...

Any hints/tips/changes welcome. Make 'em quick, I'm thinking of undercoating it tonight ......

:D

Chop a square out of the roof of the car (at least 30mm), mount a harpoon or a giant bow or something like that on a improvised weaponsmount. This way you can put pretty much whoever in there operating the weapon.

Then it`ll be a very fast loooking car used for huntin`big critters (something you Aussies can appreciate right)

R

Ross
11-06-2007, 11:27
I'll mount a 'limp' harpoon gun on the left hand side (Aussie steering wheels are on the right) with a hatch behind it. Ahhh, limp as in hanging down, not a reference to anything else !?!?

I'll leave the car covered in, I have one WIP where I've cut the the of off to be used predominatly by a 'road gang' band of nutters (Goliath juves and catachan and marauders).

Looks like a nice start, but I'd add a little detail. Dunno, a skull of a big beast at the front, some spikes or something on the dozerblade, details of fitting the dozerblade to the sides, a sort of a mesh on the lights (dunno if they are abroad our lill'eastern-european country, but our faucets have superb ones inside them)...
too plain and still too much porsche for me :)

Ross
11-06-2007, 12:07
Yeah, I'll hold off on the coat tonight (doing a little work on the terrain for this project). I need to do rivets, the harpoon with hydrolic pipes going into the roof, hatch on the roof, the velves for the blower (bonnet thing:) ), small 'teeth' on the dozerblade, braces from the top of the blade to either the roof or bottom of the windscreen. Might mesh the windows too, did the little back ones but as I think it looks cool I might do the others as well.

The car needs lake pipes, hood pins and a self-destruct box under the rear end along with the mesh and stuff.

The snakeadillo thing looks alot like some of the monsters in the Maple Story online game. (4 kids is how I know that :) )

Loving the project, though I didn't play fallout much. Once you hash out the RPGing aspects, looks like I can maybe use the concept to sneak my oldest son into playing some GW games.

This is looking great Ross. The Meat Wagon really looks awesome. Not sure if it will help but my car is 1:35 scale, not many kits made in that size but alot of diecast metal cars are.
These 1:32 may be a bit large but could be useful
