Hey all

This is an attempt to keep a record of the various modelling projects i have currently running and maybe even finish them; my inability to fully finish an army is matched only by my inability to be distracted from whatever i am working on by yet another conversion idea!

here are a few of the things i am working on at the moment (in various stages of construction and painting- unfortunately I always tend to start painting before I've fully finished modelling:

Librarian on a bike

ultramarine honour guard (here's the champion)

Techmarine

a terminator chaplin

and also a hellhound

There's also my long time aim to "Gaulify" my guard regiment the 265th Viturii

and some planned but unstarted projects:
eldar autarch
harlequins
rough riders

Nice work Bitey I really like the look of the Honour Guard champion, where did you get the idea for the pose? i like the way he looks, its as if he has just challenged an enemy commander.

Thanks it was actually my younger brother who came up with the pose for the arms when he was messing about with blutack, I added the helmet wings and base and theres the result. For the other members of the guard I'll use more of the crusader style helmets- I'm using DA robed bodies and there are a couple of robed crusader heads on the sprue.

He oh so hilariously posted below to remind me to give him credit!

Update! (of sorts)

Done a bit more on the Terminator Librarian

http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/1864/img5789pv6.jpg

and the Techmarine- I'm wondering about giving him one of the devestatr servo skulls but it might just make him a bit too cluttered?

http://img479.imageshack.us/img479/3180/img5792ye0.jpg

Also got 3 very early-stage harlequin conversions:

http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/3361/img5803kl5.jpg

And finally, updated from 3rd edition days, a squad of swoopoing hawks:

okay update time!
Its from me 'cos bitey cant be bothered ()

This is what happens when you get an underdeveloped acorn, a bearded head and an ogre scimitar! If I ever was to make a white scar army then one of the models would definitly be like this!

This is our Ultramarine Honour Guard Ancient and a normal honour Guard both of which we are quite pleased with.

right more piccies but on another page (damn picture limit!)

Here is one of our many bearded infantry men that make up the 265th Viturii. this fella is a veteran (the more facial hair the better status).

here is the newly made veteran sergeant of the assault squad

another veteran sergeant this time a tactical marine and with a converted bolter-flamer.

Our Viturian master sniper (sadly rarely used due to sniper rifles erm, points effectiveness...)

Nice pose for the champion!

Thanks, we took him into gw once and everyone was seemed to like him. I remember he was one of those models that just built its self. We made the dagger arm and i was playing around with that, the sword arm (which was planned for a captain) and a black templar body (from a trade i think) and i realised that actually the model looked quite good!

Any other C and/or C anyone?

Wohey, that Land Raider looks better than original Termus (witch has single lascanons in ****** place where orginal twin liked should have fire line). Beautiful champion, sorry if it's stupid question but from what model is this body? (I'm not familiar with SM models)

Thanks :)! all it is is a basic landraider with the heavy bolters taken off and replaced with lascannons from the razorback and a predator turret placed over one of the storm bolter hatches.

Sorry about the lack of new photos but i should have some soon, we've been in France recently and Bitey has Uni and I have GCSEs.

The legs are normal tactical marine ones whilst the robed torso is a black templars piece, the head is from the command squad company champion with Dark Angels wingy bits (or wings as they're sometimes known:eyebrows:)

Ok then time to resurrect this bad boy...

here are the honour guard, modelling-wise they are almost done, just need to get my hands on 2 more of the more ornate command squad bolters and an extra eagle backpack:

http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/9595/img0190xl5.jpg

similarly I just need to get a couple of shuriken pistols and holsters to complete the harlequins:

http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/4421/img0197ac9.jpg

here is a closer look at the troupe master who I'm quite pleased with:

http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/3018/img0200cu6.jpg

and finally, here is my Autarch, converted from yriel's body, dire avenger arms and a dark eldar head:

Good work so far, the honor guard are awesome. I hate too point this out but the shoulderpads and silver arms on the deathwatch should all be on the opposite arm.

Thanks, I had originally planned just to do these 5 but now I'm tempted to do a few more.

As for the deathwatch- you are quite right- in the GW background they are depicted as wearing their deathwatch pads on their left shoulders but on 'Cloud Bitey' this doesn't make much sense. Why rip off your chapter-marked pad from your left shoulder only to reapply it to to your right shoulder, thus requiring you remove the squad-marked pad too?
To my mind it seems a lot more straightforward for a marine to just swap the right shoulder pad i.e the one with squad markings on for the deathwatch pad, as these markings will be irrelevant when serving with the deathwatch, whilst retaining the honour of his chapter, where it should be on his left shoulder...

So no worries you are not the harbinger of much teeth nashing and blood letting as I try to pry off those shoulder pads- it was intentional!:D

Another member of the Deathwatch here, Iron hands chappy with heavy bolter, to make it look more manouverable and hence an assault weapon, I clipped away the ammo feed and the bulky devastator backpack and replaced them with a lighter ammo box:
