Always liked chaos but never liked the way people seem to play them. So reading a couple msu articles on druchii.net, I wondered if I could apply it to a straight mortal chaos army. Do you guys think this is a viable list/idea? How could I improve it? Personally, I'm not sure about the sorc at this point level and putting the hand weapons and shields on the warriors might be excessive.

At any rate, I'm gonna play a couple games and let you know how those go.

marauders need to be in units of 20+ to be effective.....
any magic weapons would be useful.
extra hand weapons or shields dont take both.
command in warroirs or atleast muscition

Drop one unit of chaos warriors, buff the other to 15 and make them chosen with hand weapon/shield. It turns it into a brutal hammer and anvil unit. If that turns out to be more points than you want to spend, instead of chosen give them full command. A single unit of 15 with full command will serve you better than two units of 10 with no command.

I would also drop the light armor and shield on one of your marauder units and give them flails.

And though I would ordinarily agree with elvenmagi, you won't need a magic weapon in a 1000pt game unless you're going up against VC.
