Ok, so I'm in the process of making a mod (or rather house rules, however you decide to view it) for a version of BFG, but for Halo ship engagements, just like in the books. All that I require, is that you have knowledge about Either BFG, or Halo vessels, so it would seriously help if you have red the 1st and 3rd books, as the 2nd one is mainly ground engagements.

Items up for discussion are;

Ship classes
Ship points
Weapon systems
Possible upgrades
Scenario's
Rules
Advanced rules
Fleet lists
etc. etc.

So far, Im thinking that there can be three (3) different fleets to choose from; The United Nations Space Command (UNSC) of Humanity, the powerful Covenant dreadnought, or the automated fleets of the mysterious Forerunners.

So those who are interested, or if you'd just like to stop by and poke your head in through the door, just pop in here.

Normally I would set up a forum for this, a separate area for this to develope, but for some reason something will not allow me to set up a Working community on invisionfree.com, so if you know of any other free boards, please inform me, however, I am aware of proboards.com, but think that they lack everything that makes even a decent board. Thank you.

well the unsc would have several class and space stations long swords to. most ships have a mac cannon for sure so a mac canon 26 archer missile pods with 30 missles each. some upgardes would be ship ai which would make the ws of the ship 3+ auto cannons and emergency thrusters and thats all I can think of.

see input like this is great, but I would prefer to have a seperate forum for this, as I doubt the warseer admins would want something that could turn out to be big, taking over this forum

but thank you Very much for that bit of information :D

Average number of Marines, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, Scorpion Tanks, Pelicans, and Warthogs for a United Nations Space Command Frigate all Classes of ships larger.

Marines
255

ODST
8

Scorpion Tanks
5

Pelican Dropships
10

Warthogs
6

something to watch out for during conflict near Forerunner stations (or perhaps another fleet option?) is The Flood. Below indicates the number of boarding actions required for The Flood to launch an appropriately sized infestation to gain control:

Cruiser (UNSC / Covenant) - 3
Station (SMAC station, etc.) - 2
Refit craft - 3
Battle station - 4

will add more when it becomes available

hmmmm k.. so does anyone at least know of some ships that could be used for the Humans, Covenant, and Forerunners?

Well, the MAC cannons act very much like Nova cannons, while the missile pods would act more like dorsal weapons batteries. And the Covenant cruisers plasma weapons act very much like Lances.

I agree with the missile pods and plasma connon suggestions, but you'd have to come up with something else for the MACs. From what I remember they are very large rail guns, firing solid high density shots. Wouldn't be able to represtent that with the blast marker Nova Connon

Can use the space marine escort ships for the UNSC ships because they are diddy compared to the covenant ones. For the covenant ships big remodeled eldar ships or the big imperial one emperor and alter it.

I always figured that the archer missile pods could be represented simply with the torpedos? and have say the 50mm autocannons that were on the belly of the PoA (and its class of cruiser for that matter) say have those being like turrets or something?
