I'm looking to try out Blood-bowl, but I'm not ready to shell out for the box set.

Like.. where can i find the measurements for a game board? Is the Block dice really all that special?

I can proxy WH models for a team or two.

I can proxy a Chaos team and a Norse team.

Det easyes way to get into blood bowl with out paying too mutch is FUMBBL.com

Most of your questions have been ansvered on another simelar tread here on this fourm. So a serach may give you more information right away.

The pitch is dubble of what you see on p.6 LRB5. And the squares are roughly one inch.

Block dice, use a normal dice:
1: Skull
2: Skull/pow
3-4: Push back
5: pow
6: pow !

Yea proxy with wh is normal. And soo to is converting from wh to BB. Just a chop off of weapons. And extra shoulderpads. And a different pose.

the only thing in the box set that cannot be proxied/home-made is.... abosultely nothing. heck, you dont even need models. empty bases with the name of the player type and a name or number to differentiate your players is the minimum you need for a team.

What will be dificult to home make (atleast if you don't know how) is the range ruler. I don't have a link or pic. But there is a picshowing how far each range is nomatter if you trowing straight or diagonaly.

And you must remember that the width of the range ruler is also important as it is used to see if an opposing player is allowed to make an intercept or not.

I've made a blood bowl board on a table, but then moved house and made a more portable one from a cardboard box laid flat and cut up a bit, so its not hard. Its very very basic, but gets the job done. Its in my project log, and you can see how utterly basic it needs to be.
PMed more info.

EDIT: Forgot to say width... 5cm for the range ruler's width.

There's also a pdf on the specialist games site that shows which squares can be reached with different throws.
