Over the three days i've been building, steadily, a small corsairs force from my bits box. Since i've got further than most of my armies i've decided to project log it.

These are the pictures of the intiial 10 of 15 models:

And this is the early WIP for a comp champ. The guardsman is our combat shield,

the 'combat shield' looks a bit, well, stuck on to be honest - would look better if he was actually holding the torso or something

otherwise - very nice!

I'm also making a chaos librarian/sorcerer, so heres the basic set up

Ok, here is the initial base for my new corsair librarian,

The concept is that the amount of power flowing through the staff is drawing everything in, so as a result his hair and his tabbard are going towards it.

And the left leg is the begging of the chaotisiation, including a daemonpad and some early chaos marks on the tigh,

Look good, but you may want to GS over that pesky little mark of khone on i think it was the second pic. Perfect timing too check the choas rumours page there some new pics all sporting the red corsairs colours and blackheart as well.

Great positioning and dynamism on the gear for the librarian. The "drawn into the power of Chaos" thing is nice.

Updates on the librarian:

As you can see, alot of smoothing and some corrective work on the skull shoulder,

And my new squad sgt:

I just love the whole 11th century roaming warrior feel.

Awesome conversions there, and the GSing is very good, but there is one thing letting them down, and that is there is still mouldlines and extra plastic from where they were attached to their sprues on the models, I guess your going to remove these, its just a bit odd that it wasn't done first!

Awesome though.

actully i've only rescently been flagged to their existance, and GW's corsairs made me weep with shame. they are seriously fuggly paint schemes... no finess

But better than the old style of Imperial insignias with a red cross through them dont you think? still.yours are better.

Yes, unfortunatly whoever made the chaos codex completely overlooked the fact the red corsairs are the astral claws, and not crimson fists who've got a bit red tape happy...

and thanks,

Hawke
