Did they get rid of this rule? If not could someone throw a page number at me. Thanks.

[EDIT] Just realize I might might not have been clear, by nullification I meant a flank charge that nulls the rank bonus.

Flank and rear charges still most emphatically remove rank bonuses. I don't have the rule book to hand but I believe the relevant part is the table of combat resolution components, towards the end of the close combat section.

Flank/rear charges remove rank bonuses as long as the unit in the flank/rear has a unit strength of 5 or more.

And that was the case in 6th ed. also, IIRC.

Page is 38, and the section you require is "extra ranks".

I found after I read the entire section. Odd place to put it, think they'd put it in the Flanking part of the book or at least mention it.

And not sirmishers. Just wanted to clarifiy.

Um, not any more skavenguy13. The only note is that Skirmishers and Fast Cavalry never gain a rank bonus.

The only requirement for negating a rank bonus now is US5+

Nope, skirmishers still don't negate rank bonuses. BRB page 67 "Skirmishers do not negate the rank bonus of enemy units when fighting them in the flank or rear."

Yup saw that too, that is really stupid if you ask me.

Yeah, realised last night when I was at work that GW can't keep rules together (no surprise really).

Surely "The bonus is lost if the unit is fighting to it's flank or rear against an enemy unit with US 5 or more that doesn't skirmish." would flow better and be easier to write?
