You need at least 2 units of 5 dark riders with crossbows.

Drop the dispel scrolls, you already have enogh magic defensive for 1500 rather try to dominate the magic phase so add a tome of furion and a power stone.

I am not to sure what the hydra is for. I know you want him as a counter charge but a hydra will find it hard to deal with anything with out some suppourt. Maybe 2 bolt throwers woulf be better for some long ranged fire power. Or you could just add a block of infantry.

War Hydra 220
1072Okay, I dropped one of the Sorcs and one unit of RxB Warriors. Why... overkill in areas which are largely unreliable in my experience. That leaves you sitting at 1072 pts... a beautiful place to be.

I'll dissent from what Gimp said. Take two units of Dark Riders, 5 ea, with Mus, one with RxB's (127 pts), the other without (97 pts). Fast Cav will give slow armies fits, and even manueverable armies will have to account for them. That puts us at 1296.

At this point, my default answer almost has to be the following. Cold One knights, 6 ea, with Mus and either Champ OR SB. I'll let you mull over the merits of both. But with the 27 pt command, it costs a cool 201 pts, gives you a bona-fide survivable unti that can kill stuff. Also brings the army in at a cool 1497 pts. It will also look quite fancy backing up the Hydra, which i like, but won't win many combats on its own.

Aside from that, I agree with Gimp on your Sorc kit. Drop the Dispel and get the Seal of Ghrond for an extra DD. Also, you screwed up the lvl 2 upgrade... it should be 40 pts per Sorc. (Actually, GW screwed this one up, but two wrongs don't make it right.) In other words, it might be a good idea to recalculate points from the start.

Also, Lifetaker is neat on a Sorc, but just remember that you will kill a maximum of 12 models per game with it. Against hordes, this will be a drop in the bucket. Against elite armies, this will be brushed off with either a ridiculous AS or WS. I question the effectiveness of this item for 30 pts. I can't remember my shooting EVER causing a Panic cheack, even against bret peasant scum.

If you'd rather go the footslogging route, pick an elite infantry unit and pray they don't get shot to two or three models en route to enemy lines.
