Just something you can add to your players bio for all those players who took part in the Did Y' Spill Me Pint tournament. I got the idea from Phrollikk bios showing where players got gold in the tournament so I thought I would stick a veterans award up so that if the player took part he can be awarded the Did y spill Me Pint veterans awards.

+++++Player Awards ++++++

Use this text cut and paste to your bio.

<font size=3> +++++Player Awards ++++++
<font size=1><table><tr><td><a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&at=0&group=4220&show=16009"><img src="http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/3638/didawardhi6.gif" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/></a><td> <font size=1> Did Y Spill Me Pint Veteran</tr></table>

Any improvements or other comments get back to me. No I am not doing a different colour for first and second place you can do that yourself. I have modified the data into a table so it looks better with text being central. Further modified to click on picture to get tournament schedule up.

I think instead of everyone on the team getting the award it should be given by the Stunty management to 1 player on each team that participated. This way it's a little more special and at the same time marks the player to other teams. Also this would be a great piece for The Highlander where you could have a small write up on the players that received the award.

No you are wrong. A veteran is a veteran whether he got spp or not. I may design more awards in future for an individual achievement to merit special players.

wrong? so when you said you wanted comments, you really meant just deal with it eh?

You was wrong and both right. I knew the point you were making about recognizing special individuals and I will cater for them.

So far what I have in mind is an award called the iron cross with a skull in it for players who kill a big guy. This award would not be available to Big Guys of course.
A purple heart award for getting casualties over a certain amount say 25, a gold star for touchdowns and silver for completions that sort of thing. On top of that I will look at doing veterans awards so the underachievers can still get a medal/badge/ sticker.

I think this has some potential. It will make the players a little more special and thus more important to the owner and your opponent who will want to kill your top "veteran".

Exactly now you can see my vision. Huh....., I sound like... never mind.
In time an over a few official tournaments players will collect these awards and you will have a greater affinity for them even if they lack in the SPP department. Old faithful.

The purple heart, gold star iron cross and so on. Can you make a seperate post on them. So that we can add it as we go along. Or do you send them to us individualy when they are awarded?

Also I woud like to have an award for players from the original line up.

Have you seen what the guys in OBBA have?

They have little icons for things like hat tricks, cas tricks, killing a player (http://fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=10864), take a llook.

I think they add a whole heap character to the league .... you don't wont see that Robocop has X amount of CAS ... you will see that Robocop is a three time Cas tricker with two all out kills under his belt. (I never looked up his stats so that is porobably very wrong)

Maybe something to consider for the WBBL and Stunty ..... it is probably a lot of work to make though.

EDIT - After reading a few posts back I see this is sort of what you are doing ...... must read whole thread before posting :)

Might considering borrowing some and modifying for WSFA. We need to argue out what should be awarded for what before I make my despot decision.

See what you can come up with and I will shrink it cut it and put it in a circle square whatever then. For some teams this would be pre WSFA days when the league was run by Autobot, or was it Yorkie at the time.

What about only doing the team logo... This woud ofcourse be diferent for each team. I can send you the file it you like. What size shoud it be?

I don't understand why we need to argue over it. You post up the one you think whoud be there. And if we feal that someone is missing we'll lett you know.

But I can do some sugestions.
* Hatrick TD & Cas
* 5 x pass
* Interceptor
* Crowd pusher = kill
* Flying stunty (for a stunty that have been trown 3 times)
* Dirty player (3+ dirty tricks in a game.)
* Multiple Most valuable player.

hmm I think the awards should be more concrete stats and they should be hard to get. So like 5 interceptions for example.

Yeah I think I am more with th0r on this one, after a while awarding players may get repetitive and boring. The veteran awards are no problem because you can paste it in one hit.

For outstanding achievement awards we should have a high setting, but I was thinking cas awards and such only emphasize the stat already on a bio so maybe we should look for specific spectacular events. I have an idea of a badge of being returned from the grave for those star players killed but then healed by the apothecary.
Dengs idea about the fling is valid as well, flings are hard to get right and do result in the flings injury very often so its risky business.

As for MVP awards I am not interested in this at all as it is purely random and does not even reflect the true mvp.

I like these kinds of badges, but let us not go overboard with them, or else they'll just lose their value. My two cents: Do a badge for every tournament like now, add a badge or two for exceptional performances, such as greatest scorer/CASser in said tournament. No more..

Yes this is mine and appear th0rs thinking as well. I am not sure about top casualty scorer and top td scorer each tournament as that is going to be Robocop and Zoom zoom each time.

Actually kyle has tied you for the lead in casualties and has more spp overall. Let the games begin!

8 casualties in one game is impressive, beats Robocops 5 on two occasions.

why not make it holder of milestones..., and whoever kills the holder of the milestone gets some group points, like an active bounty on their heads...

and of course, have the master milestone killer (expect DPs to feature here)

Yes I like the sound of that but would coaches can keep the title award once won but with the dates they held it, so its an ongoing thing.

And I could add it as a point award for anyone who kills a title holder, (not maim)
