I need to get my warband of ten painted for a tournament in Ropecon in August, so speed is needed. Yellow armour was the idea, as bright colours are striking and red is a good accomplice for that.

First Khor is the only model that has been ready for a long time. I actually posted pics of it here, but those were marred by matte varnish that decided to shine. A coat of Glaze Medium later and it looks far better, though it still isn't very good. Hopefully this will be the weakest of the bunch.

The second is a Meteor of Aegis that had been almost ready for many months. Finally I had the motivation to do the finishing touches. I like the armour of this one, but the rest not so much.

Last another Khor. I like this far more than the first one and platinum blonde hair came out really nicely. I wanted to see if I could do blonde hair on a yellow-armoured mini and I like the result. The NMM isn't good on the hammer, but then again I'm very lost on how to hammers in NMM (good thing I decided to paint Dwarves, then).

Comments are very welcome. A Son of Uren and a Blunderbuss Dwarf are on the work bench, so hopefully I'll get to update this blog next week.

Haha I don't know if I think those models are ridiculous or hilarious and cute.

The painting is very good though :)

They are ugly but cute - like ugly babies.

I basecoated with Citadel Vomit Brown (I'm not sure if they make it still, a yellowish orangeish light brown) and then gave it a heavy wash with Coat d'Arms Chestnut Ink. Then Citadel Golden Yellow highlights and a magic wash with a mix of Graveyard Earth and Black Ink. Final highlights with Miniature Paints' Yellow (which is kinda like a better covering Badmoon Yellow) and maybe some very, very light touches on some extreme edges with white.
