View Full Version : A dark elf question

I've considered lately building a Dark Elf Host, mainly centered around a large unit of executioners with attached Lord, etc.

But what stumps me... What the hell do I use for my lord? I don't want to use any special characters, plus the online stores (Uk one was the first I looked at) don't stock a generic lord model. Conversion time?

Help!

What weapons do you want? Mounted/unmounted?

Unmounted, but choice of weapons is flexible, depending on available models? Unless I'd have to convert it. Probably go for some 1 hand weapon/shield combo, but a two handed weapon would be nifty.

I know alot of people us the Black Guard models as characters. Just do some conversions based on what kind of weapons you give 'em. Also, the Corsair champions look good as heroes or lords. I've got both the mounted and unmounted Malus Darkblade models and use them as characters.

thats a good model for a leader, migh also want to look at some of the older hero models, like Huron blackheart. don't have a link for them atm, but check the classics rangeon GW online.

also a small note, does anyone know if there is going to be a Chaos hero for Avtars?

Best Dark Elf range around at the moment is the Gamezone one - the lizard-riders and Harpies are simply gorgeous.

For a lord though... hmmm...

Chronopia may be worth a shot for uber-spikiness

Or you could try this fellow, from Celtos:

and of course Reaper are always worth a look:

Here's one possibility....
