I read something about some great Drop Pod templates (and saw finished results), and I found a link where I got an e-mail I had to mail to get the templates mailed to me, but that was a couple of days ago, nothing has happened.

Anyone got those templates, or can link me to them? Pretty please 0 : )

I think I have the templates somewhere. Do you want me to send them to you?

Yes please! Along with a picture of you I could put in a frame of pure gold! Okay, maybe just the templates, thank you. I have been wanting them for quite some time :-) I'll PM you with my e-mail.

There are dozens of drop pod template threads, have a search. Beside the Miniature Scenery copy, WD Germany once published an official template that was on several GW websites until recently pulled.

Click on the link and it should go straight to the pdf document.
Then just go to Fil/Save as...

Easy as cake.

I know, and I did that, but it seems like this PDF was once a website (where you could click various buttons/links, especially the "gauges" as they are called). And now I obviously can't click the link which will get me the actual size Drop Pod templates.

I'm going to the LGS now, I'll be back! in a couple of hours, I hope someone smarter than me has come up with a solution for my annoying issue :-)

It is really annoying that this forum is so active, my (lousy) thread gets bumped down almost instantly : )

Don't be angry at the Warseer community for not answering the thousands thread on drop pod templates every 6 hours. Use the time for a search, esp. in the modelling forum. I once made a listing of a dozen threads there.

I beg your pardon, mate. I'm not angry :-) I just really need this... And I'm kinda helpless here on Warseer, as this post sparked my activity on Warseer. But I'll look in the modelling section for your thread, then ^.^

Well, I for one am glad I opened this thread. I have had the GW drop pod templates for a while, but not the instructions for em. Now I have both! Yay!! Gonna start making drop pods tonight!! :)

Here is my post from this thread:

(found in 10 seconds via search "drop pod" in the modelling forum, third entry)

Probably the two most popular solutions are the "Miniature Scenery" Troop Lander ( http://www.miniaturescenery.com/DataPage.asp?Code=BNKTL ) or build one according to the numerous plans (one in a German White Dwarf and on German and French website, but deleted) posted on warseer (and found via search function).

Or use a VTOL landing aircraft or go for an underground alternative:
