I've seen enemies of the imperium, and the concept of being able to use my computer to build an army list strikes me as a good idea. I've been looking for a freeware program, but all the sites I've found so far charge for their program. If people could post links to sites that offer reliable armylist builders for free that would be great. Likewise, knowing they don't exist would be of great benefit to me, as I would be able to stop trawling through google for one.

Thanks in advance guys.

Calc (http://www.openoffice.org/product/calc.html)

If you don't want to pay, use a spreadsheet or paper.

get a free non full version and write down the totals once you have attained them.

I already am using paper. It just seems easier to chop and change the list to fit the points available if I have a proper program. I would use excel, but I'm not that fluent in it. Besides, most of the armylist builders also give you the stats for each model/weapon when you buy upgrades. Or so I've been led to believe.

Look up Wolf Lair's army builder. The demo version lets you work with 3 units at a time, and is quite comprehensive. If you don't want to pay for the full version, you can just make your list by saving to text file three units at a time.
