<confession> I am addicted to starting miniature projects. </confession>

Here is my attempt to organize what I'm currently working on in order to have a chance of finishing it before the 'ard Boyz Tournament. I have started so many projects, and I often find myself working on the less important ones when I really need to focus on deadlines. So, here's my list, pics to follow later:

Must finish by Mid-September:
Tau:
-Gun Beast (kroot ox) sculpt and cast x 6 (currently finishing sculpt)
-Crisis Suit conversion kit sculpt and cast x 3 (this is a set of extensions for legs, and torso, and replacement feet. Currently finishing the torso work.)
-Sniper Drone Conversion Kit sculpt and cast x 9 (working on a body which accepts a converted rail gun made from pulse rifle/carbine bits. Currently finishing work on the body.)
-Paint Piranha Squad 2

Ok, this is the most pressing stuff, especially as I may run out of casting materials and have to order more. Needless to say I'll have to paint this once it's done, although since there is no painting score for the tourney, base colors will do.

Other Stuff Which is Presently Distracting Me:
-Putting Trees on my Kroot Bases
-Sculpting Bases
-Imperial Griffon
-Carnifex
-Brood Lord Conversion
-"Ent-Wife" Female Tree Man Sculpt

Stuff Which will Distract me in the Future
-IG "Clone Trooper" Grenadier Army (Currently on Hold, but taking up brainspace)
- "Jedi" psyker conversions
- Some sort of tank scratchbuild/conversion to make SW type tanks (ideas, anyone?)
- Clone Trooper Head sculpt and cast

-Witch Hunters Army
- Sisters of Sigmar into Iquisitor/henchmen conversion
- Seraphim Squad Conversions

Ok, this is just a post right now to organize all my projects in my brain. I will post some pics of where things stand on Saturday morning. Hopefully this will help me keep my ducks in a row.

Thats a fair list of stuff you've got there... Reminds me of when I started my Log... Still haven't finished...

But I can say that this sort of thing really helps move things along, so good luck to you :D

Merceus, thanks for the well wishes, I could use the luck! I just got news that the Seraphim squad I bought on Ebay is lost somewhere in the UPS system in Georgia, so things are off to a rocky start.

I guess on the bright side, that's one less distraction for right now.

Hopefully they'll turn up. :(

yeah I guess...hopefully they wont disappear or anything... I hate that... Best way to avoid it is order in your area (or state/country) and then it shouldnt be going walkabouts... but postal service is broken, so things are bound to go off the radar every now and then...

When can we be expecting pics of your work?

Saturday my wife is at work until noon, so I'll post my current WIPs.

Until then, here are some of what I have started:

Tau Prototypes:

Sniper Drone:

Gun Beast:

These are earlier versions, the drone in the above pic is just a kit-bash, wherease the new one has sculpted elelments, and my new gun-beast is both bigger and more dinosaur like.

My Tau Paint Scheme:

And my Kroot Scheme:

And a random pic of some of my IG:

Now that apocalypse is coming out, I will probably use VDR to field the AT ST Walkers as small titans. (I have 9 or so.)

hohoho!! That ATST is sooo coooool!!! Where do you get it?

And those colour schemes are great, brilliantly painted... love the Kroot more each time I look!

Lol, thought the Gun Beast was a drawing at first, looks great... even if it's only undercoated...

@MErceus - Thanks for the props! I got about 12 of those at-sts off of ebay. They are an actual model kit, from Revell or some such, and are still available in a lot of hobby stores. I was going to use them as sentinels, but I think I may end up putting them on bases made from cds and using the VDR from Apocalypse to make them something more armored.

@warboss48- Thanks! Here's some more pics of the next mount I am sculpting. I like this one a bit better, and it's getting close to being done. It's quite a bit bigger, and will replace the Krootox model for my Tau.

The gun beast stands just about 50mm tall (roughly 2 3/4") at the shoulder, and is made from Kneadatite over a regular sculpey and a wire frame.

I still have the musculature on the left hand side to sculpt, and then some skin and wrinkled hide on the neck as I recently re-carved a large chunk of it. Oh yeah, and lots of horns on the crest, can't go wrong with more horns.

C&C are very welcome.

Wow... thats just... I have no idea... 'wish I could do that' is about the only sensible response...

and yeah, does seem a bit big for a sentinel :p, maybe an allied dreadnought if you're not playing apocalypse?

Thanks!

Hm, they would make decent dreadnoughts, but I'm curious to see what vehicle design goodness I can come up with once Apocalypse is here.

Well, I have a minor update with some good news. UPS found my Seraphim that I bought off of Ebay and got them to me! If I hadn't been entertaining family all weekend, I might have gotten some work done with them. As it was, I was too busy dungeon crawling through the Sunless Citadel with my family (dorks, one and all :) to do much painting. In the last couple of days, I have managed to put a tree on a kroot, start work on painting some Piranhas, and did a quick pose and paint test with one of the sisters.

Here is the Seraphim as I got her off Ebay, and you can see the basic idea I will be going for in the workspace shot below:

Hopefully this weekend I will get more done on the Tau. I haven't sculpted much either, aside from a rear foot on my gun beast. I am starting to have worries that I may be disallowed from using them anyhow, so maybe I ought to think about some more fire warriors or crisis suits.

Oh, I decided I am going to do snow bases on my witch hunters. I've allways wanted to do that , since I started playing 40k with the 3rd edition rulebook that had awesome dioramas of the valhallans fighting tyranids in the snow. Besides, with Sisters you get a nice fire & ice theme going.

Was that Seraphim described as 'Pro-Painted' on eBay by any chance?
