This is something I have had floating around in my head for about a year now. I loved the idea and the asthetic of the Strogg from the Quake games so I decided to see what i could do. I have looked at many many mechanicum armys over the years and I have taken probably as much inspiration from those as the game. And i have a tournament comming up so what better excuse for a new army?

I will attempt to explain what the models are and what they are based on for those that are not familiar with strogg.




This is the start of the Havocs, they are being based on the heavy tank from the game, its basically the torso of a man on a hover platform with a cannon grafted on to his arm. Needs more green stuff to make the skin meet with the metal a little more... uncomfortable and painfull looking.



My warp smith, based on the rocket witch? if thats what she was called. Needs alot of greenstuff to blend the armour with the robe.


Also in the works but i dont have pictures yet, failed transfers (marines/cultists) and some tactical troopers/skitarii (marine/chosen)

I will attempt to update when ever progress has been made, looking for feedback and critisim :)

Hey this is my first painting/modelling log ever!
I'll write up some fluff when I have a spare moment. It's miracle that I can get some painting off with my schedule. All I can say is that the dread 49th is a company of death guard space marines spreading plague and woe and nurglings all over the galaxy.

So here's some stuff:

I need some advice on the plaguebearers' horns. I have no idea what colour to paint them. Brown? Green? Black? Ideas??

Abaddon the Despoiler

Hey, just testing the waters with this since not sure if colours are gonna come out right, but since seem to paint little as none last months I am hoping this will help me push forward. (I am trying photobucket so let me know if pictures at too big)

i'm gonna start with some Heralds,

Herald of Tzeentch, guy I was converted some months ago with staff from herald on disc, probably is a little small now when think about it but I like it.


Just a normal Herald of Tzeentch disc unpainted if anyone was interested


Metal Changeling (with broken staff =/ ) that seem to have gone too crazy with shadows, shame that doubt i'll ever use him since herald now



Now I am not great at converting but I'm happy with this was looking to use Herald of Khorne from Skullcannon/chariot box and found little from spikeybits without having to cut legs a lot, so only real change is he is holding skulls on chain from his left hand (some finishing touches needed)




I haven't pinned him yet but probably should do that, hope it won't be too awkward when ends up in close combat since he is taking lot of space (but didn't want to give him bigger base then should be on) :P

And finally some models with little paint on them, Some pink horrors that are still WIP

Hi all !

According to the guys of my 40K Team, we decided to go in a local Team Tournement (4 guys per team) with Daemons. Each one using one of the 4 Gods fiends.
For me it will be Tzeentch...

So, here we for one month of Tzeentch painting !!

In order to add some spice, I decided to use only 3 colors:
Abbadon black - Ceramite white - Mephiston red.
The most difficult for me is the NMM : I never tried before!

After painting and playing random stuff for about a year, I quit the hobby for about another year due to lack of time (studying during the day and working during the evening for 180 hours a month is really exhausting)
I sold almost all of my Black Legion (about 2k) and didn't paint anything or play at all.
I still like Warhammer 40k and hobby in general very much, I've enjoyed reading new CSM and Daemons codices (and DA and Tau) and I read all the news concerning the hobby, got kinda addicted to following various blogs and painting logs.

So couple of weeks ago I was rummaging through my stuff and found a box of Plaguebearers that I bought when they were released, but never painted.
An unhealthy pale greenish glow in my eyes started to emerge, a glow that clearly indicated nurgle possession, and thus, on this faithful day I decided to return to the hobby and build a mono-god chaos daemons army.

I suppose it is not competitive at all, and I am not very competitive as a player, I don't plan on using it in local tournaments. I tried to use nurgle sacred number, didn't manage to bring all the units to 7 though.

For now I have some pics of my Dark Apostle count-as and a converted Abaddon (sorry for a bad quality, I dont have a camera, so I have to use my phone) ^^
I also will try to write here as much as possible, because english is not my native language, I am from Russia ^^ So i hope this blog will be a good language practice for me.

Finished painting my first Word Bearer model, and now he's just awaiting a base (ordered from Scibor, to arrive within a week or two...). Fluff-wise this project depicts the time before or just after the start of the Heresy, with the Legion ascending to Chaos and accepting the Primordial Truth, but not yet fully taught in its ways, and still very much a Legion first and foremost in structure and approach (though, of course, the Word Bearers always were a bit not-so-standard-Legion in the first place).





No idea how this will continue, but it's not meant to be for playing, it's for the painting/converting/Heresy-fun only.

Good day to you all!

I wanted to show my death guard army that I used for a tournament in sweden 2 months ago.
Had a very little time painting it since I'm working and going to school at the same time.
after everything was assembled I painted the models in 2 weeks before the tournament (the zombies went in just one day 60 of them in total, painted my brains out over that).
I wanted to get a warm death guardy feeling to the marines, hope u as well as I think it looks good.

I will first show some of the assembling process and then the finished army.

This is gonna be my plog for a nurgle army starting with the contents of the Dark Vengeance box.

Heres the test model I painted yesterday



Gonna stick with this scheme as I can paint it quite fast and it looks suitably "grubby"

And today I found a spare Black reach Terminator and decided to to try out sculpting some nurgly bits on him, this is the first bit of sculpting Ive done in about 5 years and Im pretty chuffed with the way its turned out, will probably use him in my army somewhere.





Tomorrow Im gonna start on the rest of chosen from the DV set and I bought the plastic chosen blister a few months back as random buy and will throw him in the squad to make it up to the good old nurgle number of 7.

Once Ive painted up the Hellbrute, cultists and Lord from the boxset Im gonna grab a Box of plague marines and some chaos Termies and give the Termies the same greenstuff treatment I did on the one above.

After 7 years of collecting and slowly painting daemons, I've decided to say goodbye to my dear warp-spawned friends.
I came to the conclusion that while I loved the army, I really didn't want to paint anything else in this color scheme (and an excuse to start a new army!).
So I'm selling them off locally, but I wanted to show off a lot of models I've never put online before, and some that I have, but wasnt finished.
Now, all I have for a camera is a ****** iphone 4, so I tried my best, but not the bestest looking photos :*)

Hello, this is my first time blogging so sorry in advance if it doesn't go too well for any reason.

About January this year I started a small word bearers force to use in a doubles tournament up at warhammer world. Which I have to say was an awesome day with some awesome gamers and armies. The tournament in question was Invasion and each player had a 600 pt limit (so 1200 pts a side).

My army consisted of:

- A dark apostle with gift of mutation
- 2 units of 10 CSM with a heavy bolter in each unit
- 4 terminators, MoT, 2 PF and 4 combi-plasmas

The list was pretty solid and not very easy to shift. Where I lacked in anti tank my team mate picked up the slack as he took a necron list consisting of:

- Illuminor Szeras
- 10 immortals
- 13 Warriors
- 12 Warriors

This build won us 2 out of the three games (the only loss being to poor time keeping on an objective game) and won us best army.

I'll put up an army pic on the weekend as I don't have any yet and the army is currently on show in GW Bath's cabinet. I'll also put up some WIP pics for the rest of the army (there's quite a lot of WIP things).
