I have some questions and hope that the community can provide some feedback. :)

1) Shooting at Squadrons - how does this work? I cannot seem to grasp the example given in the Rulebook
2) Eldar Holofield saves against boarding - again, how does this work? Does the Eldar player roll a 2+ to negate all boarding effects during the End Phase / for each successful hit by a boarding torpedo?
3) A modelling question - my Gothic class cruiser is missing some of its little lance turrets - what would be a good replacement for something that small?

So, under the official rules, how do the Dark Eldar play? They have an extremely limited list, but at my first glance it seems they have what they need. Rather limited firepower (quality over quality), but extreme maneuvrability.

From reading it seems like Cruisers want to go for either lances or launch bays, and Escorts primarily want lances. Is that true? Also, in general, how often do you feel the need to use Come to a New Heading? Due to the fact that the LD is passed automatically, do you ever see yourself using it? I know I haven't with my Chaos fleet, but I'm still rather new to BFG.

I ask because I have three Reaver Jetbikes and ten Hellions on their way to me, and I'll convert into three Cruisers and ten Escorts. Because of that I would like to prepare a little and see if anyone has any good ideas or experience they want to share.

Just a quick question.
The entry for this in BFG:R for this says it gets an extra re-roll on top of what it gets for mark, is this still right as mark changed (ie has the text nt been changed)

Also wanted to make sure pts was right. Entry list says 375 but fleet list says 365, it also seems VERY cheap for what it can do...

So I'm looking for 30mm circular discs, nothing fancy. They don't even need a stem (I'm using piano wire). I need a hell of a lot for my new scratchbuilt Tyranid fleet. I've seen Litko's 30 mm clear circular bases and they look great, but they're too expensive for me to have shipped from the US. Does anyone know of any options based in the EU?

Ok. So i warned my eldar friend if he takes corsair pulsar lance escorts, id kill him, he has.

My question is, the renegade chaos list says u can take a BB if ur lord is a CSM. Does this include the ultima class BB or just the vanilla one?
We now using BFGr rules and SOO much want that str 16 bside of bombardment it MkT *evil laugh*

My panic buying means I need another case for my BFG/Call to arms starfleet, and I don't know what the one I have is, so I was wondering what the best sizes/trays people found for BFG ships?

I've recently been caught up in the panic buy of BFG products since the line was discontinued, and I'm trying to start an Imperial 1000 pts fleet.

My fleet currently stands at:

1x Vengeance Grand cruiser
2x Lunar cruisers
2x Torpedo Dauntless light cruisers
3x cobra escorts

However, I am wondering if I should nab a few gun batteries off of the chaos cruisers I bought as well and assemble the Vengeance as an Avenger.
Any advice from some veteran admirals would be appreciated!

So I was skipping through the BFG section of the GW site and something struck me: the Desolator class Chaos Battleship is listed as "No Longer Available". Is it discontinued? Or is it the beginning of the conversion to finecast? Or are they just momentarily out of stock?

Also, I can't find the Despoiler. Wasn't there an entry on the site for the ship before? It's been a while since I've been there so maybe this isn't news but I haven't seen another thread about it.

I dug out my copy of Battlefleet Gothic yesterday, and (re)discovered my small Imperial fleet - one Lunar, two Mars, two Dominators, two Tyrants and two Gothics, with three Firestorms and four Cobras.

Come payday I am going to grab some Dauntless class light cruisers and some more Cobras - the question is, should I go for the torpedo Dauntless or the lance Dauntless, or both?

Ideally I am hoping to get three or four (either one squadron of three or two of two).

Thoughts from more experienced Admirals would be great! :D

I didn't like the idea of using printed cutouts with such highly detailed models so I made up some 3d blast markers and nova canon template. I made them roughly the size of regular blast markers. Also semi 3d torpedo markers and some in and chaos bombers and fighters. I pretty much made them all out of polymer clay so they pretty cost nothing(15$ for a block of clay and some paints).

With it's imminent removal from the GW website I have decided to finally start (and finish, I guess) that Imperial Navy fleet I always meant to get but never bothered. However, I have no idea the rules, points limits etc. If I buy the following list of ships will I be good to go?

2x boxes of Cruiser (4 ships total)
1x Dauntless Class Light Cruiser (Lance)
1x Dauntless Class Light Cruiser (Torpedo)
3x boxes Cobra Class Destroyer (9 ships total)
2x Vengeance Class Grand Cruiser

Not know much about Gothic that sounds like a lot of ships to me, but is it a viable fleet?

I am interested in starting BFG, however I have some problems finding the models. Ebay seems to have very limited choices. I am planning on assembling a small IN and Chaos fleet for starters... Maybe get the local club interested. Can anyone help a buddy out here and point me in the correct direction?
