Just got my WD in Canada, in their preview section for Chaos, the Mounted Chaos Lord was revealed, here are some photos:

That lord is fantastic, I particualrly like his shield, hammer and steed.

I think I may have raised my expectations level too high, but I'm really not impressed by this guy at all. He looks kind of stumpy, and his horse looks like a broken down mule. I hope it's just the angle. Maybe he'll grow on me, who knows.

Am I alone in thinking that horse is positively god-awful. I don't think I have ever seen such a lumpy, ugly and misshapen beast in all my life. Its hooves are the size of the rider's head. It's a "fail" of titanic proportions.

I am really digging that rider, though. I love the horns on the helmet, in particular. And I think we can all agree that Mr. Anderson had a stroke when he was sculpting that tentacle...A stroke of genius!

I agree the rider is great (especially like the tentacle arm holding the shield), but the horse is too static. Would it have been too much to ask to give the horse a little more dynamic of a pose?

Good god, and this horse sucks? Boy, bashing models is fun and diffErent strokes for diffErent folks, but this chaos model seems to be the best thing besides the cold ones GW has done recently.

I like the tentacle but i don't like how they painted it. I like that model a great deal. I imagine the rider could fit any of the new chaos steeds with a little conversion for those who don't like the pose of the horse.

I don't know about anyone else, but that cover looks...unfinished to say the very least.
It looks both too comic-y and computer-generated to be the final cover, in my opinion.
It's mostly likely a knock-up until the art is unveiled...or I'll be sad in the face

Several people here on warseer who have seen the new book have said that that is the final cover.
