Nice work, especially those Lobba Guntrukks.
I want to see more please.
Nice work, especially those Lobba Guntrukks.
I want to see more please.
Thanks very much Mr feral ...
I'm still painting the last of the army and Im hoping to get it done in time for the new Ork release. But for now I have a small update.
I have brought a baneblade for my orks. As well as a whole bunch of other stuff, I'm slowly trawling through ebay to find the things I need.
Well theres all the bits I've gathered. I wont be starting work on alot of it until I have finished what I already have. Another thing I've got but it hasnt been pictured is the Forgeworld ork pilot.
I've got a ton of snotlings and grechin assistants and about 20 of the old metal 2nd edition gretchin. Under the new codex I plan to have at least one big mob of gretchin.
I've also got a fair few bits from forgeworld and some stuff from another company (cant remember there name) but the stuff seems to be lacking in quality but they assured me once It was painted it looks fine. But I have my doubts.
And I've started work on the baneblade.
This isnt likely to be completed anytime soon, But Im gathering bits for it and ideas all the time. Like I said I want to get the other stuff done first. Theres not much left to do, four orks and finishing off the gretchin assistants that I've already started.
Then I will probably go through the whole army and add some more detail and a few touch ups.
Right side...
I want to have a gangway running down the side of the baneblade, Much like the one on one of the Tracks.
Left side, side sponsons.
I'm thinking about making these as one big sponson. But then again maybe not.
I'm not sure what to put in the sponsons, If I make then one big one then perhaps I could have a bigger gun like a zapp gun. That might look pretty cool. But I'm also thinking about having two scorchers in there.
I havnt got the apocolypse book so I've no idea what the rules and things are. Or If Im going to use it as a looted baneblade or as a skull hamma.
Rear.
Now the big bit on the left is some part of the engine. The back part is going to be blown open, similiar to what I did one of the gun trukks. The engine will be exposed which will be made from some spare bits and the main block from the Forge world Generator.
Eventually using the chemical plant model there will be a fair few pipes running around all around it.
The gretchin is a mail order only gretchin assistant with an oil squig. Im not sure if I should have the engine cover thing on the other side, seems a waste to cover up all that detail.
Well thats where I am at with it so far. Obviously it is far from finished. But thats the rough outline of what I want to do with it.
Thanks...
Any comments, Tips, Hints. Etc. Etc.
I have NO clue how to do the main gun, No idea whatso ever! O was thinking maybe a big Zapp gun or something. But other than that I am stuck!
I'm thinking about giving it some wheels, Three on each side. If I can find any big enough. But I have been unable to find any at the moment. So that ideas on hold so far.

Wow! Great looking army. Clean paint job, good modeling.
My only qualm is that the bikers bikes look a little to ordinary. They could do with a few more gubbinz.
Ill be keeping an eye on this one, and probably asking for help on mine if you dont mind.
P.S. Shouldnt this be in the P&MT section as its getting to be kind of a log?
None of you understand... I'm not logged-in here with you - YOU'RE LOGGED-IN HERE WITH ME!

I love him! How'd ya put theburna on his tank? did u maKE the rope out of GS?
Hey, your army looks great! I don't see any problems, everything is fantastic.
You did mention not liking the bionic hand though and if I were to suggest anything it would be to add some rust to it since the bikes paint is chipping and everything.
For my rust I use tin bitz basecoat, then boltgun metal splotches around it, a black ink wash, mithril silver dry brush and finally another very watered down ink wash. I found this technique in a VC forum and I've been happy with the results!
Whatever you do, I hope it works out! Keep up the wicked army
I just started my first Warhammer army, please feel free to check it out and offer advice! I can certainly use it.

Thanks for any comments!
Put some static grass on their bases in tufts, and maybe a bit of clump foliage.
Wow, thanks for the comments guys..
Dasqueek-Master Assassin..
Yeah I think it should be. I edited in the first post to see IF It could be moved. Perhaps I will add some more gubbins to the bikes. But I've done a fair few changed to them. I added alot of pipes and big exhausts and created new bikers for them. And the guns are diffrent.
Mr Kibbles...
I'm not sure who you mean, the Mek with the burna? The burna was from a Gorkamorka model I think. And the rope was already on it.
Stamos...
Thanks very much. The Nob Im not going to use now. In them photos he was just starting to get painted, that was the very first base coat. Its just the fingers really. He just doesnt work. It was a nice idea but I dont think I pulled it off at all.
il end up sticking a normal guy on the bike and later on If they release a warboss ona bike il use him. Or perhaps one day il make my own.
hallowed_are_the_ori...
I know what you mean. But I dont think that it would work with these guys. I've based it on the Gorkamorka look of a baren desert. I've tried to make the bases more interesting by adding bits of scrap, pipes, helmets, barbed wire etc.
I've just got a coupe of blisters of snotlings now so when I come to do some more orks they will have them on a few of them. I dont want to over crowd the bases though.
Thanks again.
Any comments on the Baneblade will be hugely appreciated.
looks great, the entire army has an excellent standard of painting, keep it up!!
The only thing I noticed that I thought I would comment on was the lack of weathering on your vehicles. I think that would really pop them off the table. Also a friend of mine is a big Ork player. As you noted, adding bits and bobs to some of your vehicles would help. I also like when you Orks use looted parts from other armies and keep that looted part(s) the original color of the army you looted them from. That really sets a vehicle or unit apart. Beautiful clean paint jobs on your figures. Very nice indeed.
hey,
I have at the Fanatic at Holland, Zwolle
with 50% stikbombaz paid. I will Speed freaks to !
I'm busy with a Zappelin and a airballoon.
I paint 1 year. (not supah good)
maybe let i see pics...
(sorry for the ongood english. My spell check dousn't do it.)
oh man these orks look phenomenal! love the reds and the looted vehicles. looking forward to seeing that grot covered baneblade too.
Current Projects:
Titan's Power Armor Obsession
Again thanks for all your comments.
I am planning to add weathering at some stage but Im worried il ruin the paint job so Im waiting until I can work out how to do it at some point.
But....
Yesterday I went out and brought the new codex, a shokk attack gun and a new trukk. So now I no longer have to use the old one that I really didnt like.
I've had a brief look over the codex and I love it!!! I've made 1000 points using my existing army. And Its all good! I now dont have a legal army though because I only have one troops choice but I have the points to spare to add another trukk boys mob.
The Guntrukks with lobbas are now going to be looted vehicles with boom guns! Which is a whole lot better than what they used to be!!
And I also get to exchange the warboss on bike (who I wasnt liking the look of) for a Big Mek, possibly with a kustom force field (I dont like the idea of a shokk attack gun armed big mek leading the army although I love the gun it doesnt seem to sit right that he would lead the army)
I've also got a small update for you all...
I did a little work on the baneblade by deciding to put a death roller on it. Which I stole from my old trukk. I've also added a new Gretchin which I managed to get off ebay.
And I cut open the back to expose the engine, you cant see the whole detail of whats inside at the moment though. but theres a fair few bits in there.
Well that is it so far, but expect to see some more updates soon enough.
Thanks very much, and as always comments are most appreciated.
Looking good so far.
Any chance of seeing whats in the back of the 'blade? Did you put the generator from forgeworld in?
Dan
Yep, Its got the forgeworld generator in it and another couple of engine type bits from another company. I havnt finished the inside yet, Ive got to do alot of plasti card work in there and add some pipes and things. But once I have done that I will be sure to post up a picture of the inside of it.
I've managed to glue most of the baneblade now. So once I get myself some more plasticard I will begin sticking all the armour plates and things on. I will have everything but the turret and the sponsons done soon enough. I've still got to think of what to do with them.
I have looked over the new codex now and a couple of army lists for 1000 & 1500 points. Feel free to have a look over them and let me know what you all think.
1000 point army list
Mek with Uge choppa. 40pts
10 Boys, Eavy shooter, Nob, eavy armour, Power claw. 145pts
Trukk, Boarding planks.
10 Boys, Trukk. 95pts
20 Stormboys. 280 pts
Nob, power claw, eavy armour.
3x War traks. 105pts
Rokkits
5X Bikes 125pts
Looted Wagon. X2 210
Boom Gun.
Total 1000
Thats the 1000 point army list. Using all the stuff I already own. Only this time I've got a Mek instead of a warboss on a bike. And I've got a whole new mob of trukk boys. Not to mention the upgraded wagons with boom gun!!!
Next up is the
1500 point army list
Warboss, Eavy armour, Eavy choppa, Attack squig. 85pts
Mek with Shokk attack Gun, Eavy armour. 100pts.
10 Boys, Eavy shooter, Nob, eavy armour, Power claw. 145pts
Trukk, Boarding planks.
10 Boys, Eavy shooter, Trukk. 100pts
20 boys, 2 Eavy shooter, Nob, Uge choppa. 145pts.
20 Gretchin, 2 Slavers. 80pts
20 Stormboys. 280 pts
Nob, power claw, eavy armour.
3x War traks. 105pts
Rokkits
5X Bikes 125pts
Looted Wagon. X2 210
Boom Gun.
Dreadnought, Eavy shooter, Kustom mega blasta. 95pts
Total. 1465
So I have a few more points to play around with. I was hoping to fit in 3 killakans. But I dont think that will happen. I added a whole mob of 20 boys and a load of gretchin as added support. And with the dreadnought (counts as a troop choice because of the big mek and only has a kustom Blasta because I think I will be able to make him look cooler) they should be a pretty hard footslogging section to come in after the main waves of the trukk boys and stormboys.
I was thinking about swapping over the 10 boys to be part of that 20 man unti and using there trukk with a nobs mob. But It worked out as far to many points.
Im not sure what to spend them extra points on. Maybe a nob for the trukk mob although they will be carting the warboss around with them.
Any suggestions, corrections or anything like that then feel free to write em down.
I am just about to buy a battleforce and two boxes of boys from Heldane. So expect to see more updates soon.
Thanks again.

Nice. Im liking the Baneblade conversion. Especially all the grot riggers all over it. Good stuff.
We are always ready to blame another, if the circumstances can free us from our own self guilt.
Captain King (Brevret Major in his Imperial Majesty's army) of the 18th Kapathian Rifles 3rd remnants Company, currently attached to the 18th Battalion of the 27th Ordonion Wolves.
Let lose the Wolves of War!
Also known as Warboss Gitsnikka Grogsquipstompa Lala Orkdakka Tipsysnikka Hurnghhh Bob the Third.
That is one of the best Orc armies I've seen.
Really like your crisp painting style and the overall look of your force. The Baneblade conversion is totally awsome...
Looking foreward to seeing more!
It is a well known fact that 99.9% of signatures are irrelevant and completly made up on the spot.
The baneblade... It needs more snotlings...
Other then that, really cool army. Nice paintjob and conversions. Nothing to complain about I guess.
Only, if you want to fix the bionic hand, I guess just a normal hand would be better in this case.
Glad you like it Major King.
A13X.. Thanks for such a nice comment. I will have some more updates soon. Perhaps tomorrow.
Braad.. Its not finished yet, I still have plenty more things to add to it. Mainly armour plates and I need to completly redo the gun. I've no idea what to do with it really. But If I can find some more suitable Gretchin and snotlings to put on it I will do.
The Nob on the bike with the bionic hand wont be used anymore. In my new army list hes just a biker. I've no need for him so the hand isnt an issue anymore.
Thanks againl.
A small update..
I have ripped the old doors off and added some new ones that came with the Glyph set from Forgeworld. I've also added a couple of glyphs to either side and a control panel switch type thing to the inside of it.
The pictures not very good at the moment because its dark but il get some more photos up of my other vehicle with the finished crew soon.
When my stuff comes through il make a Ork to go inside it both trukks..
Thanks.
I have also updated the list of the things that I need. So please have a look and if you've got anything then send me a message.
