Building for Apocalypse

Heya guys/girls welcome to our Project Log (that's me Daredhnu and my brother Iziuth)

we will be using this log to show off the terrific armies we will be building to play some apocalypse games, the terrain used in said games & offcourse everything that distracts us.

the main armies will be.

IMPERIAL
imperial guard (catachan)
imperial guard (cadian)
space marines (blazing eagles)

CHAOS
chaos (alpha legion)
chaos (some other legion)
chaos (berzerkers lots of them)

Daredhnu : cadian - blazing eagles - alpha legion - berzerkers - the city
Iziuth : catachan - other legion - berzerkers - the city

that's how we will be doing it around 6000 points a side (imp - chaos)
hope you guys enjoy.

also the random stuff we might paint could include the following :
- Tyranids (either mine or my brothers)
- Dark Eldar (my glorious raiders)
- Necrons (my ToP army)
- Tau (my honourable do-gooders)
- Eldar (Iziuth's ToP army)
- Space Marines (Iziuth's ice marines the azure lions)
- The Inquisition (mostly grey knights)

Ahum little bro, My Ice Chapter are called the Azure Lions. (At this point probably more the grey plastic lions but anyway).

Most of the Chaos will be mine and I have a lot to paint up including 2 Land Raiders a Defiler. My Catachans are almost finished except for the odd unit here and there. Maybe Daredhnu would like to take a picture of them to show them.

Ah some more warseer brothers, i do enjoy the constant post bickering me and my bro used to do it all the time!

As for the armies thay all sound very cool +i like the orange marines (very brave) I asume your painting in bulk in the interests of building a large army?? Looking forward to seeing them finished.

Also you meantioned "the city" is that a apocalype size city fight board? If so a friend and I have nearly finished our own 6x6ft cityfight board and they are awsome so get working on that (feel free to ask any questions etc)

yes it will be an apocalypse size cityfight table only 8' by 4' with lots of terrain hopefully enough.
i have some pretty cool ideas and i'm sure my brother does too so lets hope they mesh well.

and my marines will indeed be painted in bulk i have an entire company so bulk is the only way to go with that right?
i'm contemplating painting them while they are on they're spue might go faster, i think.

well anyway post some pics of your board in your log and then i'll be able to ask some questions (and maybe steal some ideas )

actually the amount of cards you see in the picture is only about half of what i have.
yes it's alot but i'm still missing cards damn.... wait a minute, wasn't this a 40k plog?

@ bungeeboy. The green bases are on my catachans because well, they are catachans. Also they were painted before (first)edition cityfight came out. The chaos will get urban basing (because none of there bases are done ;-))

Yes that is a lot of chaos, but it will be a lot more when everything is painted up. I'll hope to show some WIP pictures of a unit of thousand sons later this week. But now I have to finish last months submissions for ToP(40k) so see ya later.

Mmmmm, more apocalypse threads. Its always great to see massive amounts of models come together in one project. Those marines in the first post look promising, I'm digging that smooth rusty orange colour. Can't wait to see more pics.

Maybe we could add a narrative with some smaller games with the stuff we have painted up. And build up to a final apocalyptic scale battle. Also guessing by the amount of stuff we have it could easily become 6000 points per side.

Hoping to get some pics up this weekend with some chaos stuff. Maybe when I'm up to it I'll also build some terrain this weekend.

What shall we do for the first game? The Alpha legion trying to make it to the city and start their rebellion? Can you paint up some Alpha legion of approximately 500 points or so?
