so heres my latest pet project, a IG killteam designed to go along with my tyranid army. very basic conversions, but i think theyve come out rather well.

all in all, theyre just made of cadian, catachan bits, as well as some nid carapaces and some other doodads.

nice, but maybe taking off some of the more noticeable mould lines would help IMHO

yes, take those mould-lines off and you have one nice squad there! Cool conversions, especially that support-weapon is great . Show us these fellows when you get them painted.

Really good. My favorite is the Support guy. Looks good but paint them already. lol IMHO you should clean up the mold lines. But other than that they are really good.

Oh come on, everyones seen the Dirty Dozen! Not just Americans!
Shaeffers Last Chancers were based on them in fact!
    As for the guard, cool!
Not too keen on the plasma gun, just seems pretty huge, how about trying something like http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakka/Defa...=posts&t=10037 ? Seems more in keeping with a special ops/kill team approach. The heavy stubber too, pretty basic non-Guard equipment for a kick-ass Nid killing Kill Team. Also, in game play, would a heavy weapon not be a little too cumbersome? As in slowing you down?

mould lines, mould lines, mould lines..... ok, i get it, mould lines. i just whacked em together with blue tack, jeez, get off my back. seriously though, glad y'all like em, hope to get em ready for painting soon, but i have a few more ideas for some more team members. im thinking captain, grenadier, sniper and a spec-ops type guy.

when life throws big bugs at you, you need a big gun to bring em down.
and as for the stubber, it was kinda a last minute addition. story wise, theyve just ripped it off a busted chimera, slapped a bipod on it, and put it in the hands of the first willing trooper. i feel that adding character to individual models makes for a more interesting game, even if it would slow me down, it just makes it more challenging.

Sorry to go off topic, but are you allowed to do traitor guardsmen kill teams?

Wink Re: Imperial Guard Killteam: A WIP

I could point at my guardsmen at any time and call them traitor guardsmen so I figure you can point at your guardsmen and decree that they too are now traitor guardsmen. Just use the basic Imperial Guard rules, and paint suitably. Nifty idea, I kind of like the idea of a traitor guard kill team.

I suppose there is a little bit of heretic in all of us...

I can't say I'm keen on Catachans in general but that heavy weapon is awesome. Nice work.

Simply done yet looks very effective. I like the extra armour made from bits of Tyranid , that looks well good.

Cant wait to seem them painted.

nice subtle conversions, i like the extra armour on them.
the assault rifle is also nicly done, but cut the barrel down so its flat ended, looks less las like then.
